I did not pretend I just ask. They collect information and transfer. Like today I recive 2nd NOA2. My application should be at NVC not on CSC approving and approving... I am waiting on tier 2 rep now... I wonder if I will be on a phone for another 30 minutes or more (already 26 minutes...)

All I ask is "Please transfer me to tier 2" and today I said "I got approval on Jun 11 and now this is 2nd one. Please transfer to tier 2 rep"

Most people on here can't get one approval and you get 2......what the hell is up with that?! Hahahhaha. Well, we were originally approved the same day and my stuff was at NVC as of Thursday or Friday...got my new case number. So something really bizarre happened to yours that it didn't get mailed out with mine......

January 3, 2012 Mailed I-129F

January 9, 2012 NOA1

June 11, 2012 NOA2 rec'd 154 days later...

July 5, 2012 NVC rec'd and new case number given

July 9, 2012 Left NVC en route to Honduras! :)

Guys i have a question regarding hard copy of NOA2,......

In the large box where they type and starts "The above petition has been approved"......what is usual for the rest of that sentence to read, that it has been sent to NVC or to the Consulate??? I ask because a sample i seen here on vj (2003 so it may have changed) says NVC but ours says Consulate and to contact the Consulate about visa issuance. I thought all had to go to NVC 1st, So not sure what to do, any ideas or help would be gr8.

Cheers!

They all say that it'll be forwarded to the embassy or consulate. It will still go via NVC however

Cheers Photomile, just was a little confused, not knowing what to expect!

Well, we were originally approved the same day and my stuff was at NVC as of Thursday or Friday...got my new case number. The thing is I call USCIS before and ask to change a zip code on I-129F on fiancee address and her phone number changed (The phone company switch from analog to digital. So they changed the phone number. It is funny that they was on pulse tone "rotary system" and after switch keep same pulse tone.) Any way the rep said they can not change address due that it is fiance and i have to mail it. So after I mail it took a week or two for them to make changes. So when I was talking to rep tier 2. She said that if there was change in an address they re send approval to "my new address"

I am pretty sure they screw up and try to cover up. If they just resend approval they would not approve on July 2 as it was approved on June 11. I would end up with 2 same approvals not 2 different one.

I have had luck with calling and simply asking after I give them information to be transferred and they easily obliged and transferred without question. But that's only happened once, and I called a few times before we were approved. I did have one instance where a service rep was vile and only transferred me when I actually called them out for not complying.

After being transferred and placed on hold, I went to hit the lock button on my phone and it hung up (I might have accidentally hit the hang up button, but I didn't mean to. Y'know. iPhones, touchy little boogers.) So I called back immediately after, went through the spiel of giving them my case number, confirmed I was the petitioner and they asked how they could help me. I said I had called just a moment ago and was transferred to tier 2, but that the call died while on hold and asked to be transferred again, and they obliged.

So you may get lucky and find someone who doesn't want to deal with you and will happily transfer you off, or you could find the monotoned robot who wants to ruin your day because someone took his favorite parking spot.

It's a gamble for what you'll get, but it might work.

That why I mention on my other post just hang up and redail to get other rep who will transfer.

Good luck everyone with your waiting. I haven't seen my fiance for more than a year and when I left Indonesia I was pregnant with our baby. Until today, the baby is almost 7 months old and he hasn't seen the baby yet. I have three other children with age range 4 to 8 y.o. It's never been easier to be a single mother with 4 children. However, God has been provided for us since we came back to US with nothing. He has provided me with a place to stay, a car, and a job. All I can say is be patient, He will make everything beautiful in His time. He never leave us even for one second. He's been taking care all of us. All I've been doing is looking at the bright side that this wait is nothing compare to the whole life that we are going to spend together and have a faith in Him. I hope this will help you to feel better while waiting to reunite with your loved one. :)

also regarding the 'not connecting'. They get stupidly busy at times. I've had to call several times before it actually starts ringing. There's only so many phone lines into the call centre and they all get clogged up

We are gonna contact our congressman tomorrow too.

Finally!

We have been patient enough. No progress. 172 days since Vermont received our petition!

I contacted my congressman's office on 7/5... Sent them the Permission / Release Form, a letter, and a copy of my NOA1 Receipt. I was also given an email address of the lady that handles these issues for my congressman, so I will email her tomorrow or Tuesday and see if she has any news. I am also at 172 days since they received my petition. It's absolutely ridiculous... For me, its not as much about when, but more about not knowing what "when" will be. We just want a date to look forward to... Oh well, another week begins... maybe this will be the one... gotta be right sooner or later... hopefully sooner... Good luck to you all!!!
