Another day with nothing for me. I really think whoever has mine and some of the other 1/17 petitions is just leaving them there. I'll try to call again today. I just signed the lease on my first apartment yesterday, so I'm in the process of moving, and my fiance goes home Tuesday, so my mind is in a million different places. I need this NOA2 as soon as possible, though, because every day just means a longer wait.

Just chatted with a friend about what's going on at VSC right now. She actually said something really clever: has anyone gone to their local news agency to potentially highlight the issue? We don't really have a lot of options to take action within the system, so why not make the issue noticable where it gets more attention? I realize that indeed, there is an ebb to the tide of activity at any Service Center, but I guess it couldn't hurt to make more people aware of what's going on.

I don't think USCIS is going to want to get potentially negative press and have zero response to it. I just can't get over the fact that they told me they were not going to update their timeline estimates despite the fact that they are obviously falling way behind in their processing.

Just a thought :)

She told you that cause she reads scripts and can't tell you anything more... I wouldn't really get upset over what those agents say :) if they update it or not, we are going to find out in over a week time, when they do their usual update in the middle of the month ;)

I think Paul was 18??? At least someone is having fun, and ignoring the gossip forums. My baby goes into medical monday and i fly out to see her in 2 weeks (+1 day)!! Hoping at worst 180 days is drop dead date!! Can't imagine it going longer than this!! With any luck, there will be high-speed approvals next week, just we have been saying this for 2 months now...??? Would really like to see the boards light up!!

I did not pretend I just ask. They collect information and transfer. Like today I recive 2nd NOA2. My application should be at NVC not on CSC approving and approving... I am waiting on tier 2 rep now... I wonder if I will be on a phone for another 30 minutes or more (already 26 minutes...)

All I ask is "Please transfer me to tier 2" and today I said "I got approval on Jun 11 and now this is 2nd one. Please transfer to tier 2 rep"

We are 18th too. There were just two #s before us that were left from The 18th. One has just gotten the approval.

I think Paul filed a day before us so if he is not that one # that got skipped then he is approved already!

Good luck on your interview!

Hopefully she will have an easy one :) have a great time together.

I just came from the states a week ago and this was the hardest time because we are so close but so far away still ;(

All I ask is "Please transfer me to tier 2" and today I said "I got approval on Jun 11 and now this is 2nd one. Please transfer to tier 2 rep"

I have had luck with calling and simply asking after I give them information to be transferred and they easily obliged and transferred without question. But that's only happened once, and I called a few times before we were approved. I did have one instance where a service rep was vile and only transferred me when I actually called them out for not complying.

After being transferred and placed on hold, I went to hit the lock button on my phone and it hung up (I might have accidentally hit the hang up button, but I didn't mean to. Y'know. iPhones, touchy little boogers.) So I called back immediately after, went through the spiel of giving them my case number, confirmed I was the petitioner and they asked how they could help me. I said I had called just a moment ago and was transferred to tier 2, but that the call died while on hold and asked to be transferred again, and they obliged.

So you may get lucky and find someone who doesn't want to deal with you and will happily transfer you off, or you could find the monotoned robot who wants to ruin your day because someone took his favorite parking spot.

It's a gamble for what you'll get, but it might work.
