I hope so too.... on both counts!! I hope both Sabi and Paul get NOA2's today or tomorrow. :)

And wdm... and katchoo.. and anyone else I've missed...

well I am hoping for our middle January filers to get their approvals first... I do not want to skip the line cause I know myself how frustrating that is... All I want is for things to keep rolling so we are every day closer not standing still with January 9th being the stupidest excuse ever! It's been 3 weeks now since they repeat the same old story...

It is a tricky one isn't it? I absolutely don't mind you guys being happy and talking about your medicals, interviews etc... I am happy for you and it definitely doesn't bother me reading your updates! However it is just so hard to read how some people complain about slow NVC when actually they should be ready for 2-4 weeks wait. It's not the end of the world compared to almost 6 months wait for NOA2 only! I think I speak for everyone but not everyone will admit it :) So please do update us on the progress, I am sure we all want to know what the next steps look like :) but also appreciate what you have, cause a bunch of us would love to be where you (by "you" meaning people) are now... :)

Well said Sabi. I agree with you. At least with waiting for the NVC you know for a fact it's not going to be 6months+. You know the max will be a month. This waiting for noa2 after you've been told "5 months" and it's been "5 months"+ is torture! And I do want to know what the next step is like and if itll be any faster than this stage of the process.... I certainly hope so. I can't deal with another 6 months of knowing nothing and having no end in sight....

well I know this isn't immigration-related, but my fiance surprised me with this little darling yesterday (I think he is feeling bad that I've spent TWO 4th of Julys away from home, as well as various other holidays and I've kinda been bugging him about getting one...) so I'd thought I'd share her cuteness with you --- right now she isn't looking so CUTE to me though, I've been up all night with her whining! But I still love her! Sorry for the huge image, I don't know how to reduce it lol and I'm a little bit zombified at the moment.

I don't mind hearing about it either, but I agree that I'd be ecstatic to be on to the next step, even with what I anticipate to be a one month wait. But I love to read about where people are on the next steps to their journey as I hope to be there today myself :) I'm on day 169 and I'm wishing as hard as I can for an approval today.

I'm on the horn with USCIS CS right now as well. Making my first call before I call/mail my representative to inquire about the case. I'll report back how the call goes down, especially the date they say they're processing.

Hopefully one of the RFEs wasnt Paul. Since he is on vacation. That would cause just more delay...

It wasnt us either. I am really hoping to hear something by cob today. # before us got an RFE, number after us is approved...

Wish you guys all the luck... to get approved... I am stressing way too much and i kinda thing our wedding will def have to be postponed... who knew 10 months was not gonna be enough time...

Got a somewhat energyless woman on the phone in about 10 minutes wait time. She took my info, confirmed who I was, and told me I was still within normal processing time.

She stated that they are still processing January 9th, and that I can not take any action until they are after my date on processing. I asked them when they were planning on updating the official estimates since, if they are processing January and not February, that the estimated time should be six months instead of five.

She said they were not going to update the estimates. She again mentioned I'm withing normal processing time.

...I think I'll just swing by my Rep's office during lunch today. Stop in, say hello. Get the ball rolling on figuring out what's going on, check up on my case, and figure out why they just openly admited to posting inaccurate estimates on their website. You know, the good stuff. :innocent:

I feel your pain. I originally planned for an August wedding and have now moved it to late November. I really hope that it's enough time.

The only thing I cannot get over with is that there is no one in there who can do anything or give us any info! This is like the most ridiculous thing I have ever experienced!

Suddenly I started being scared of moving there... is this how my life will look like? I already feel like a criminal, it's horrible I have to proof some strangers that I actually really love my fiance is just unbelievable... I don't even want to think what awaits me once I move...

I think after you get past AOS, things will get better. You'll be able to get established here and move towards citizenship and won't have to wait for the government to process or decide anything for a while. The only time in my life I've ever had to deal with the government is when I got my license or sent off for my passport, so your dealings should be limited as well. It's just getting here that's the hard part. They make it difficult on purpose, I think. If it helps, I've been treated like a criminal every time I've gone through an airport in the UK, and that's with no red flags.
