Ok Guys i have news......We just got APPROVED (YIpeeeeeee!!), at 16.30 US time....151 days since NOA1 and 48 days since RFE Response. I am still in shock, i had thought it would not happen til end of July or Aug, but we are thrilled. To all still waiting .....Hang in there it is coming when you least expect it!!

Dec 23, 11. met in Cebu, traveled to Balamban.

Dec 25th 11 asked her fathers permission to marry her in Cebuano. Engaged.

Jan 1, 12. Came home.

Just called as well and nothing...woman told me it's STILL too close.....even tho it's more than their "15 business days" now....ahhhhhh.....this is a nightmare. We went to FINALLY get his passport today ---that is a whole other nightmare story---and what happens?! We pay to get it TODAY and the machine where they make them breaks......so I get to spend another whole day and a lot more money to travel all the way back to the dang place with the hopes that it is actually ready by then.....plus, my local branch of my bank randomly closed last week w/o notifying anyone so I am stuck w/o access to my money. Seriously. What next?! I guess I get to focus on getting the "long form" birth certificate that they require here and finding a place where they can do a titer test since he has no vaccination records to speak of...I am so finished with this country!!!!

I tried to call NVC today but I hate sitting on hold for 10+ minutes and seeing my credits drain, lol. I just keep emailing them and hoping that soon I'll get a positive response soon. My guess is next week?

Yea...I waited over 15 minutes but it doesn't cost me anything with my Skype subscription.....I sure hope we see something next week! That will be a month!!!!! Just for them to receive it, not to mention send it back out again.......I am SOOOO hoping that that new system with the call center and online stuff is speeding the interview process up for us....!!! This is depressing.

Thanks Guys....

i am really happy that is part is out of the way, Tommy and I have been together 5 yrs and the wait for this NOA2 was the hardest part of the whole relationship, it just consumed our conversations, trying to make plans that were impossible, it is such a relief. Having this forum to come to every day helped so much you all are a awesome bunch. I have everything crossed for those waiting that VSC will give you good news this week, everyone deserves the feeling of relief and happiness.

Yeah sabi it will be interesting to see how quick it moves from VSC to NVC and then to Dublin, maybe we will both be at interview together, that would be cool. I will keep you posted on the progress.

So come on VSC make all the Jan filers smile this week...they so deserve it!!

Quick update: our file left NVC 28th, but hasn't been received in london just yet (if i did the DHL tracking thing right it's in Boston right now). More excitingly - unbeknownst to us both, photomile scheduled his medical for 20 minutes before mine next weds, so we'll get to hang out! How crazy is that!

That's so cool!! ;) I hope it warms up a bit by the time I go over there on the 25th! :) counting down the days til I get to see my sweetheart again!

In other news, it's is grey, wet and cold in London.. on July 2nd. I cannot wait to live on the Gulf Coast...

1/27/12: Received NOA1 in US mail

7/12/12: Received text notification at 3:45pm central time stating our case had been updated *APPROVED!*

7/15/12?: Received NOA2 in US mail (not sure of this date)

7/20/12: NVC forwarded case to London Embassy

7/27/12: Fiance received letter from London Embassy stating they'd received our case and instructions for obtaining interview

7/30/12: Fiance mailed DS 156, DS 156K, DS 230, DS 157, DS 2001 to London Embassy

Hi guys, just wanted to tell you that my honey and I passed the first step, we got approved on july 2. I hope VSC is going to approve lots of petitions next few days. I really wish it to all you!!!

Yay! Another approval! That's what, 2 or 3 for the day? I can't remember now. But congrats to everyone who was approved today!!! Finally a bit of movement! Here's to hoping that y'all have better luck with your stuff getting to NVC really quickly....CSC has been approving faster but dragging their heels in major fashion about mailing stuff out....!
