January I-129F filers

ok... I need your help guys (especially sabi who knows loads abt medical).

You know that I am Italian but been living in the UK for 5 years, since I never had any vaccinations done in this country I went back to my Italian doctor who gave me a wee booklet with all the vaccinations done in my life (plus I have a hand written note from a private doctor for measles vaccination I had when I was little).

Now... I have just got the DTP done at my GP here as I think that is the only one I was missing and they used the same booklet, wrote the DTP, date and stamped it. Since it's all written in Italian... will it be accepted as a proof of vaccinations at the Medical or do I need a translation or certified translation of it?

What do you think shall I do? My GP said, oh as long as you have that it's a proof - I did ask her for an english version from them but she said it wasn't necessary...

Since you'll also need that proof for the adjustment of status process once you arrive in the U.S., I'd get a translated version to make sure everything goes smoothly.

Not 100% sure, but it seems as if it would be OK if you did a full translation yourself and then added a statement certifying the translation.

sara you don't need your vaccine records translated for the AOS as you will get them from your doctor during the medical. You would only need your own vaccine records for the AOS if you were missing some and wanted to get extra shots in America which I am assuming you don't want to get as all can be done before/during the medical in the UK and then you are stress free. Once you have all the vaccines required for/on the medical, you don't need to go to a doctor in America as you have everything marked as complete! and you are ready to go and send it with your AOS package!

Make sure the doctor gives you a copy of DS 3025 and actually ask for a copy of the whole medical (as doctor is only giving DS 3025 as standard). If you have a proof of those vaccines in Italian , it shouldn't be a problem as most of those vaccines have the same Latin name? If not you show it to him and if he is not sure , he can translate it or you can translate it yourself on a separate paper. if the doctor is not sure, he will give you extra shots(they are included in the price here in Ireland so hopefully in the UK too).

I just went through the numbers near mine again (there are about 6) and there's no movement on them either. I know they have that box somewhere, as about 10 days ago, there was one RFE and one approval, but they seem to be ignoring mine. At this rate, I'm scared to hope for an interview in the next few months. Maybe it'll be good and London will be less backlogged in Fall.

Hi everybody!

Here is what I have:

- Petiton was received on January 23

- We were able to raise a service request by phone on June 1

- Received a letter from VSC on June 11 saying: "...Your case is currently under review. You should receive a decision or notice of other action within 60 days of the date of this letter..."

- Contacted my congressman on June 26

- Got an email from my congressman on July 2 saying (it was actually a forwarded letter from VSC): "Our records reflect that the Petition for Alien Fiancé (e) (Form I-129F), Receipt Number, EAC-..., was received on January 23, 2012, and is currently pending in our background checks unit. Accordingly, we would suggest that you check back in thirty days for updated status if the petitioner has not heard from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) within this time frame."

Seems like I did everything I could...

I just wanted to give an update to my status. I just recieved an email from uscis that was petition was updated. I went to uscis.gov and this is what it said.

They recieved my 129f on Jan 18th.

Post Decision Activity

On July 2, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

Man, I need to take a deep breath, praying for the rest of us.
