I'm hearing it is three weeks from a lot of people for NVC to receive the papers after NOA2.

I'm still going to keep calling them every day though.

My goal right now is to have Val here by July 27th, the first day of the Olympics.

HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA oh my. Sorry. That would be AMAZING! But will never happen for us. Wow. I guess you have a quick consulate. Ours is terribly slow.........so we will be lucky to know the interview date by that time!!!!!

Thank you VJ family for all of your empathy and support. I wish the best to all of you. Its really a waiting game. Theyre hoping you give up so that they have less work to do but hang in there!!!

I do have an easier consulate. It will take me a max of 1-2 weeks to get here here after the embassy gets the package. Just waiting on the NVC I guess :(

Let me know when yours shows up. I guess the government is too cheap to send over documents every day from USCIS to the NVC. Doesn't make a lot of sense considering they own the post office, who needs all the money they can get right now. Weird.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!! You are sooooooooooooo lucky!!!!!! Holy cow!!! I am soooo jealous! Wow. We will see what happens here now b/c in the last several months, it has been taking people 2, 3, and 4 months just to get an interview date! Then it's usually 2 months after that!!! But like 2 months ago they started a totally different system with a call center and a website....so I am crossing my fingers and everything else that that speeds things up......supposedly it will but I have yet to hear from anyone who has gone through the new process. No more paying at the bank, getting a pin, calling with the pin, etc. Now we can pay by phone or internet with a credit card. Phew. But that doesn't speed up USCIS getting our stuff to the right place.......ugh. The lady who answered on Tues or Wed told me that they have been getting a LOT of calls lately and they usually don't get hardly any...so she said that "Immigration must be taking a long time on this right now".....not what I want to hear! So even though she said to call next week, I will call tomorrow. I just need the dang case number so that I can set up the appointment! Ahhh! This is all doubly hard b/c I am living here in Honduras as I have been for a few years and will move back when this is all finished....so I can't really look for a job or an apartment or anything for us until we know that date! Thankfully, we have almost everything we will need stored at my parents' so we will be able to move quickly once we get there but still...there's only so much you can do from a distance......!

Yup Knope. It's still quiet around our received date but I'm expecting that next week might be it for us..Looks like things are back on track. Worst case scenario they get to them the following week. And it would really be awesome if they took care of us tomorrow
