i wanted to send it off in OCT.. but she wanted to be in USA with me to send it off.. :(

we could have been done by now!

she is coming to visit in two weeks.. for a couple of weeks..

when i do get NOA2.. what happens if she is here?! would she have to go back ASAP?! or communicate with Consulate over phone?!

is it 2 weeks that she is there for? If so she will be back before you get your case number :) other than that you would have to check in the regional portal, not sure how it works in her country...

You'll be fine. It has to go to the NVC and then the consulate, so I think she'll be back just in time to send off Packet 3 :)

with the way things are, she will be back home before her case reaches the embassy :) all you will have to do is ring the NVC and try to get the case number. Then you will be able to give her your employers letter, pay stubs, fill in the I 134 etc , so she will have everything ready for when she gets back :) that will save you some time of having to mail her all this :)

1/17/12: Mailed Original I129F packet via USPS with signature confirmation to Dallas Lockbox

1/19/12: Packet received at Dallas Lockbox

1/24/12: Received text message notification at 12:47am central time stating packet was received and our case number

1/24/12: Received E-Notification in email that I129F packet was being sent to VSC for initial review

1/27/12: Received NOA1 in US mail

7/12/12: Received text notification at 3:45pm central time stating our case had been updated *APPROVED!*

7/15/12?: Received NOA2 in US mail (not sure of this date)

7/20/12: NVC forwarded case to London Embassy

7/27/12: Fiance received letter from London Embassy stating they'd received our case and instructions for obtaining interview

7/30/12: Fiance mailed DS 156, DS 156K, DS 230, DS 157, DS 2001 to London Embassy

8/20/12: Medical

8/31/12: Called DOS and was told interview date: 10/3/12

9/3/12: Sent email to London Embassy requesting interview date be changed

9/5/12: Received response from London Embassy (via email) stating interview date had been changed to 9/10/12

9/7/12: Received new letter from London Embassy with new interview date & time

9/17/12: Received Visa in the mail

Yes. It's hard not to be depressed when we see no activity whatsoever. Just so much lost and wasted time. I would have been shocked to see an entire week with no approvals but now I'm not so sure...It's Wednesday already...They are obviously doing nothing with our petitions right now..Maybe this? Euro Cup distracting them? aha. The disservice continues..Day 161..

And it's worth calling before 15 business days like they say. Wasn't sure whether to post cos I know you're all so fed up - but like I say, at least you know that if you could approval tonight you could have a case number pretty soon!

Ohhhhhhhh maybe I will call now......I have called twice and both times they have told me it's not been 15 days so nothing....so I was going to wait until Friday which is 15 days but I will try it again...not like it hurts--other than sitting on hold foreverrrrrrrrrr......

Yes, I feel a bit like not posting either since I have approval as well but I do have quite a wait ahead with this superrrrrrr slow embassy...so I am still playing the same waiting game :( We will be lucky to be together in the US by the time we were planning to get married!!!!

may as well try, they obviously received a batch today! also, you guys all use google voice when you're in the US/does your US partner? you can make completely free phonecalls, and fiance's 1 hour wait on the line today didn't cost a penny!

and I wish we applied earlier than we actually did... I am preparing myself mentally for October, seriously it will take us almost a year to get a visa... if we only knew that when we started...

I wish we had too! We got engaged in November, and (stupidly) didn't send in our paperwork til February. When I saw all the December NOA2's coming in, I was whining to my fiance that we should have filed then... and now look at us! :(
