My fiance talked to his congress persons office on monday and sent them our NOA1 and the privacy form right away.

He already got a response from the guy saying that he sent our info to Vermont and will contact us as soon as he hears anything. We actually thought the guy would call just there, but he seems to know what he's doing. So now we will see how that turns out...

Yes, something big must be coming today! I haven't seen any movement the past few days so maybe they'll be updating the system and we'll get a lot today. They've gotten several congressional inquiries from us by now, they can't just ignore them.

Yes, something big must be coming today! I haven't seen any movement the past few days so maybe they'll be updating the system and we'll get a lot today. They've gotten several congressional inquiries from us by now, they can't just ignore them.

It is quite possible that some of the adjudicators are working from home and only come into the office to update the system once a week? I sure hope so... I'm grasping for straws at the moment, we just need to see SOME ACTION!! .. :blink:

Counting today 153 days since received for us! :(

(PS: Yes I changed my ticker to reflect received date of Jan 27th)

Just after checking and it looks like there's still no action :(

Yes. It almost seems like they have decided to not work the K1s this week....I'm not expecting anything until July now. I think they are closing out fiscal year with resources directed elsewhere. Thank God June is over this week. This was not our month...But luckily it will get done. And I think when the approvals do start it will be huge. They'll just direct all their resources toward catching up...It's the whole swing in processing times that has occurred for a very long time. Even though 4th of July is next week, if they are focusing on K1s it will still be a much better rate for adjudications than what we are seeing now...Just wish we could have had a little activity this week :(

and I wish we applied earlier than we actually did... I am preparing myself mentally for October, seriously it will take us almost a year to get a visa... if we only knew that when we started...

and I wish we applied earlier than we actually did...

yup, we waited 2 months between getting engaged and sending off petition - we wanted to enjoy the holidays, and our engagement, and not think about the horrible visa realities. if we'd done it straight away we'd be married by now! i would definitely encourage any new applicants reading this for some reason to just get the app sent off ASAP. you have no idea how hard this wait will be, stop worrying about which photos to pick ;)

still wishing so hard for you guys to hear something this week.

Yeah, that's true. I couldn't have applied a day earlier unfortunately, as my fiance's documents took forever to get here from England. I just wonder how those random petitions before and after mine got approved..

yeah makes you think right? pure luck? got stuck in between others? or are we really divided into where the beneficiary is coming from and European countries have no priority at all?... too many question will never be answered!

I was still there on January 2nd... we had everything we needed yet we waited... I guess it was meant to be this way in some very odd way...

i wanted to send it off in OCT.. but she wanted to be in USA with me to send it off.. :(

we could have been done by now!

she is coming to visit in two weeks.. for a couple of weeks..

when i do get NOA2.. what happens if she is here?! would she have to go back ASAP?! or communicate with Consulate over phone?!
