Just a quick mini-update. I just got a call back from my senator's office but since I didn't recognize the number, I let it go to voicemail. I just left a message on the machine of the girl that called me, so I'm hoping to find out something this afternoon. I know I should've answered, I've just gotten a lot of calls trying to sell me something since going to a bridal festival :)

my fiance called the office this morning and the girl told him that Mr X works on our case and gave him a direct line and if Mr XX has anything , he will call my fiance... so nothing is really happening I am assuming...

Okay, I just spoke with my senator's office a few minutes ago. The woman I spoke with said that they called and made an inquiry, and that my case is with an adjudicator. According to her, once an adjudicator gets a petition, they have 30 days to "make a decision" on it. Apparently my case is with someone as of 6/17, and if I haven't heard anything by 7/17, I should call my senator back. I'm just happy to know that someone has it and it's not lost somewhere!

Knope that's very encouraging to hear. Seems like the "congressional inquiry slows things down" rumor is being busted. I think if a lawyer tells you this, you have to remember they're makin money off of your petition so the longer you have to wait on adjucation the more money they make off of you. You have to keep that in mind with lawyers.

1/24/12: Received text message notification at 12:47am central time stating packet was received and our case number

1/24/12: Received E-Notification in email that I129F packet was being sent to VSC for initial review

1/27/12: Received NOA1 in US mail

7/12/12: Received text notification at 3:45pm central time stating our case had been updated *APPROVED!*

7/15/12?: Received NOA2 in US mail (not sure of this date)

7/20/12: NVC forwarded case to London Embassy

7/27/12: Fiance received letter from London Embassy stating they'd received our case and instructions for obtaining interview

7/30/12: Fiance mailed DS 156, DS 156K, DS 230, DS 157, DS 2001 to London Embassy

8/20/12: Medical

8/31/12: Called DOS and was told interview date: 10/3/12

9/3/12: Sent email to London Embassy requesting interview date be changed

9/5/12: Received response from London Embassy (via email) stating interview date had been changed to 9/10/12

9/7/12: Received new letter from London Embassy with new interview date & time

9/17/12: Received Visa in the mail

I'm just glad it's on someone's desk and not collecting dust somewhere. And this may be too hopeful, but it seemed that right after Photomile and LorRenee found that their file was with someone, it was approved. I shouldn't, but I might do some extra refreshing on USCIS today.

This is great news for all of us Knope. I think most of our cases are probably sitting with an adjudicator. VSC just needs to green light a work on K1s day..We are all next in line. We get a big day with a focus on K1s and I think many of us will be seeing approval..Just wish they'd get on them..gah.

I hope I won't regret to say it. But I'm confident that some of us will be seeing approval by the end of this week. If Knope's petition is any indication then most of us should have been with an adjudicator for at least a week at this point. There's only so many files they can keep on a desk. and only so much space in which to work. We are all very close. It's just good to hear that it wasn't sitting in a box..I think this is a favorable indication for all of us here. Let's hope the end of the week can yield something now. Wednesdays and Thursdays have always seemed pretty active for K1s. Maybe they'll give them some attention.

Maybe it's just NM... - My mom lived there about half of every year for the past decade or so... And she always told me anytime she needed something done, the answer for everything was... "mañana" (tommorrow)... But I must say she liked the pace of life there... very laid back... and it has some very beautiful places if you like the outdoors... I like it there... :)

FWIW: I just talked to Customer Service @ USCIS... I thought I might as well give it a shot too... Told me that VSC was a little behind and I am inside normal processing time and to check back after July 15th if I have not received an answer already.
