It's very interesting reading, but I take issue with them saying that forums won't give good advice. There's plenty of good advice here for those who will read. Plus the English and grammar in the picture at the bottom are terrible, so I wouldn't count on them to tell me how to fill out my petition :) No updates for me today. I am hoping that several get approved when they update their servers. When did you notice they had updated last Tuesday, Sabi?

well it's an attorney's website so of course they will be saying that as they want people's money :) only that info about the adjudicators was interesting. Someone once accused me of conspiracy theories when I actually know for fact they do their best not to approve people if they only can :) My fiance rang ones and asked a simple question on what should he put on a form it was just answer yer or no and they told him they cannot give him such information which is a total C**P! :)

Anyway I think I have noticed some updates at around 3 pm so it would be your 10am :) I have just done my "run" and again since morning there was one petition that got RFE on 06/22 which has been updated just now... I think something is wrong in there , we just didn't figure it out, yet! I have a weird feeling some people are adjudicating from homes and only update the system once they are in the office which might be once a week or sth silly like that. So who knows , maybe they work on our petitions as we speak but we won't find out until they come to the office to update them...

Talked to my atty yesterday...he just mentioned that H1B quota for this year is already reached and that likely added some extra processing times to all other visa types they process in Vermont...Plus they are severely understaffed...so, in other words, sit tight, prey the Lord and try not to sweat much....

Sucks but hey, nothing we can do...C'est la vie....

I read this too, and I think they exaggerate to try and get you to pay for their service. Where are they backing up their numbers with proof?

The more I read the more I think we are all going crazy with this wait, and the whole process... :(

If I use the date they received our petition at VSC we are at 151 days now! Activity all around our petition, but ours remains untouched! :(

is there activity from actually last few days? I only check numbers up to January 20 so I have no idea what is happening beyond that... we are on day no 158 and counting :clock:

yeah I mentioned that H1B before... noticed they were reaching their fiscal year this June, that has to be connected... but hey is it just VSC? cause CSC is doing just fine! They should spread the load, or maybe not in case our petitions get lost somewhere on the way... ehhhhhh

I don't think they will let you do a service request until July... but there's no harm in trying :) you have got nothing to lose :)

Nope none, last activity was June 21st, the petitions right before and after ours both got RFE's. We are in a batch of 10 129Fs all in a row. 5 are approved, 3 RFE's, and 2 under initial review (ours incl). I would think all of this batch would be with the same adjudicator.

Very interesting to read:

http://www.apexvisa.us/adjudicator.html

Something about adjudicators and how easy it is to get into a trap they prepare for you... really makes you thinking...

this article lacks credibility. Not saying its a lie or true but its certainly set up for you to use their services, for years, many peeps have been preparing their K1 petition for them selves with little or no knowledge that we have access to now and they did quiet fine in the circumstances.

:ot2: did you all know in 2010 K1 approval time was just a little over 2 months. LOOK AT US NOW . I just wnanna go over VSC and :bonk: some adjudicators

it looks like it depends on a person you talk to... it's really crazy!

I want to wait however for the congress person to come back to us first. How much time does it usually take them to revert back to you?

I know! It always amazes me when I see veteran VJers with K-1 timelines where from petition to POE it's maybe 6 months tops. Now, it's more like 10 months, if you're lucky. :(

to be honest, the only reason we choose the k1 method was because of the legality of it and the fact that in december when u were looking at time line, we through within 3 months we would have an approval and maybe consulate getting the docs. Every day since the 4 months mark i have regretted our decision. Spent 5.5 months with my fiancee in the US last december and feel like we have been betrayed. Personally we could have gotten married and just file AOS, that would have been cheaper, and we wouldnt be away from each other (we knew the risk) so we decide to do the right thing. Spend the time allocated, go back home and wait, i have been back home for a month now and we are going crazy..........PLEASE USCIS, just do something about the stack of K1 from january you all have we need a miracle :crying:

well it was similar here although I have been there with him only 10 days in December and after he proposed he wanted me to stay and get married etc... I was the one insisting on doing it the proper legal way... Haven't seen him since 4 months now and it's getting worse each day not knowing when will be the next time I see him... at least I know when I see him, it will be for good...

to be honest, the only reason we choose the k1 method was because of the legality of it and the fact that in december when u were looking at time line, we through within 3 months we would have an approval and maybe consulate getting the docs.

That's the same reason we didn't just get married and do AOS. I wanted to have no risk of losing him again. I honestly should've just gone that way, but now I'm on this track and have no choice. All I want is to be with him this year. I'm just comforting myself by looking at apartments and houses and figuring out how we can both get higher degrees and still function :) I'm going to try to stay positive and channel my energy into productive things, because I don't want to go back and add up all the time I spent refreshing and being depressed over this petition. Either way, I'm a lot closer to being with my fiance than a year ago when we still had to plan all the trips back and forth.

well it was similar here although I have been there with him only 10 days in December and after he proposed he wanted me to stay and get married etc... I was the one insisting on doing it the proper legal way... Haven't seen him since 4 months now and it's getting worse each day not knowing when will be the next time I see him... at least I know when I see him, it will be for good...

I try to comfort my self with the fact that when its all over we will be together forever, but i dont know how longer i can tell my self that, the wait is killing me. She visits next Wednesday for 2 weeks but if she leaves and we dont have something solid...we might reach so low, i might be on suicide watch lol....just kidding, i dont wanna lose my baby, love her far too much.but we are getting desperate. Just taking comfort in the fact that we are not in it alone, so we know we arent one of those neglected petitions in a corner

same here, the proposal was a complete surprise on a thanksgiving trip, and when i researched AOS from VWP at the time i thought it sounded risky, so i left, thinking i was doing the right thing and i'd be back by summer... HA! at least i've been able to work and save some more money, but then, we also had to spend $1500 on a flight for andrew to visit, when it became obvious things weren't happening quickly enough, and then there's all the retail therapy i've been doing to make up for being apart  meanwhile, there's people posting on here all the time saying they're gonna just adjust status from a vwp/tourist visa, and they don't seem to have a worry in the world!
