I am sure they just dont know or dont want to know about the fact that we actually have websites like this one and we keep track of who and when is actually approved... Its really funny if they think that people are clueless and have no idea about other people being approved on different dates that they actually trying to convince us they are! plus we can check other numbers on their website so it is easy to prove tey are not honest with us! This is the worst part of this whole process, them trying to convince us that we are within processing time to shut us up!

Yes. It's the most frustrating part of all! It feels like they just want us to shut up and go away. The CSR scripts are the worst. It's like talking to a robot. I was hoping to put in a service request earlier in the week but because they are working on "January 9th" the computer refuses to accept any request after that date. I even mentioned to the CSR that it can't be correct as I personally know quite a few petitioners who have received NOA2 well beyond that date. They always act shocked and bewildered by the statement. It's always what the "VSC computer says" that surpasses all logic and reason. Honestly, felt like saying "Sir that computer can go to hell." I just wish I could fast forward to late August or early September now and have all of this behind me. Just very tired. And it's not even the amount of time yet that's got to me. It's really just how unknown things are right now, and it feels like we're staring into an abyss with the impending holiday. Because as we've seen, VSC adjudications and holidays do not mix well at all...So it's like we're down to next week and then prepare for God knows what after...

I thought after the lame may, they were going to kick it into gear after memorial day... 2 months now to get through 1/3 Jan... Am feeling very lucky now to get the 145 days!! Hang in there, hopefully not many will pass the 160 mark!!! Still hoping for you all so we can happily change subject to medical, consulate and beyond. This (lack of) approval discussion has me depressed, even though i'm approved. :protest::ranting:

Maybe everyone on this thread that is in a position to call their congressman or ombudsman might want to include this little

tidbit of activity I found on a main thread:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/374348-got-noa2-in-10-days-no-expedite-the-system-does-work/

NOA2 in 10 days! Are you even %&*king kidding me??

We are ONLY at 144 days (and I stress only with a hint of sarcasm) and are not quite in a position yet to make a call because of the so-called 5 month average.

I'm actually very disgusted right now!! :angry:

If it's selfish then I'm selfish too Sabi... I just want to be with my fiance like everyone else, and I have young children going through this process, and we have to deal with schools and everything else, and not even knowing a timeframe is a killer... and then to see someone fluke out and get NOA2 in 10 days?? #######?? The ink wasn't even dry on the NOA1 yet...

BROKEN BROKEN SYSTEM!! :ranting::angry:

I'm with you on this. While I don't want to begrudge anyone (such as those approved in 10 days), it simply displays clear cut discrimination. It certainly appears that we January filers are simply being ignored in order to process the "special" people. Pretty ironic thing to be done by an organization purportedly based upon the U.S. constitution.

Wow I went and read all that and I'm glad y'all handled it well. I do want to say, though, that this doesn't mean we should all go and bash February now based on the way they spoke to Paul, let's keep our reputation and be a good example, haha. ;)

Those examples baffle me. I do have to wonder if it's because the country is Haiti. I've noticed others with shorter NOA1 - NOA2 timelines coming from Cuba, Dominican Republican or Haiti. I get that those countries aren't the tits, but I don't understand why they automatically skip to the top of the heap. :unsure:

Wow, that's ridiculous! Paul is being realistic about things and that gets him shot down? :( I'm sorry, but I do have an issue with the VJer crowd who want to be all "hope, trust and pixie dust" about their petitions being magically approved in record time in spite of the facts. :wacko:
