I agree that the getting married on a tourist visa option is ridiculous. It basically shows that if you're ignorant of laws, you get a free pass, but if you do research and get married on this option, your spouse can get deported. I chose not to go this route because I didn't want the slightest chance of having our AOS denied.

Same here! It seems like most of us are hitting our 5 months today, so let's hope we're all approved by Friday! We've waited long enough.

I noticed about 12 petitions after mine that were all received on 01/20 that still say initial review. Seems weird that not even 1 from those 12 or 13 in a row have seen no movement whatsoever.

hmm :huh:

++++

For Vermont, that is.

My received date is 1/18 and it's the same situation. No activity before or after my receipt number (about 14 petitions in a row including mine)...It's concerning..but I don't think it really gives a complete picture of what is going on with our particular petitions. They don't seem to process in order..at all...so hopefully good news by the end of the week. Or it will be time to get some answers at least..

we will see if our suspicion about 02/09 touches is real... somehow we are all still waiting. For me it looks like we are sitting in one box :)wouldn't that be perfect if we all heard sth at once? :)

Yes. I think when it happens. It will happen big. Knocking out approvals for most of us within a 2-3 day period. Or maybe less if we're lucky. They're going to have to get it done soon. I can't see how our petitions could go much further beyond early next week.

1/13/12 - I-129F Petition Submitted to Dallas Lockbox

1/18/12 - Received at Vermont Service Center

1/20/12 - NOA1

2/09/12 - Touched

8/02/12 - NOA2 (197 Days After Received at VSC)

It's seriously crazy how random it is. They way they process the petitions doesn't make sense at all.

It sure doesn't, but like they say, "Crazy don't make sense." :wacko:

I've got to stop trying to make sense of it or else they are going to drive me crazy! :blink:

I'm in the same situation as you. The 6 or 7 petitions around mine don't have approvals either. There's one 7 after mine that's approved, but that's all. They really have to get them done soon. I can't imagine what happened to make January approvals so slow and sporadic.
