Today mark my 5 month and even though they just change the processing timeframe to 5.7 months we will do a service request and get my fiance congressman involved in this ! Enough is enough, i don't see why people have to pay for their inneficiency. We've been all really patient and their stupid game must end !!! Good luck to you all

Tomorrow marks my 5 months =/

The good news is that the USCIS processing time table is still at 5 months for VSC. USCIS National Average has been 5.7 for a long time. So don't worry. VSC is still at 5 months. Hopefully we'll all have good news this week. It's really time for this to be over. I hope that the week gets off to a good start. We had one really good day last week..But it's really not going to be enough to condense the approvals into one good day. We need to be see at least 5 approvals each day just to keep pace..Need some consistency here..blah...

Hi guys,

I also filed in January and it is processing in the California service center.....just wanted to see if any of you heard back since its closing in on five months.

Thanks,

Shane

Hey Shane,

You might be luckier with California Service Center. Vermont experienced a very severe slow down lately, and none of us can really figure out what's going on with it. They have many many more petitions from January to approve with little consistency in their adjudications lately...Luckily for you, CSC is actually getting the job done, and I would imagine you'll hear something very soon. Since you're closing in on 5 months, give it about another week, and I think you'll hear something within that time frame. Best of luck.

Definitely feel nervous about this week...Finally reaching the 5 months isn't a bad thing if you have an approval shortly after...But you do lose something in that. Because it's been a date you've look toward since the beginning and hoped and even prayed you might not reach it without approval first. Once it's passed this process becomes significantly more anxiety inducing. Just feels like more of the unknown and the roulette that has plagued this approval process from the start..It's like what will you wait? 160 days? 170? 180? even 200? I certainly can see how naive I was coming into this process in the beginning. I guess I'll consider going on the offensive after this week ends and try to get some answers. It would be nice to know that my file is actually with an adjudicator and not sitting in a box collecting dust...But thank god for this community. I think we definitely help to keep each other sane during this agonizing wait. I think VJ is about the only thing that prevents this from being one of the most horrible experiences I've ever encountered. Well here we go again. New week. and Hopefully new enthusiasm and effort to get some petitions adjudicated at VSC. I keep thinking each week will be the week..and maybe I can finally be right for once. Wish I saw some more activity with the K1 petitions surrounding my own when I go through the receipts. But hopefully that has no effect on where and how my file is getting done. I really think some of what we endure is by design..There is really no effort to direct many resources toward these visas because they want the strongest to survive. Of course there are times when processing accelerates, but I think it's pretty much protocol not to make the effort to equalize things when things start falling behind. It's more of an "oh well" response and we have "more important" visas to work on...It's very clear to me now that we are not and will never be a priority at the service centers..even more disappointing they seem to direct that attitude toward the spousal visas too. They just don't take either of them seriously because there are far too many petitions that seem to idle around long beyond normal processing time.

i dont understand how is it that K visas are neglected to the point where we have to sit and wait for 3-4 months to get a touch. sep, oct, nov and for most of december was getting there approvals within 3-4 months, we have to wait an extra 30-60 days. that really sucks, whats worst is that you have peeps with slow consulates and then you have some that goes into AP...what is more painful??? Lot of us had a choice cause we could have immigrated on other visas and got married with a dual intent and try go through the process like a lot of people do but we all tried to go the legal way, and this is where it gets us; missing our significant others, not knowing which date for sure will be the day when we all get to hold each other again, it sucks. Im gratefully for VJ cause i think i would have gone mad already. Lets just all hope for some miracle this week, that some how we all feel happy by next weekend

If you look at the case status page, and link to the next page for the processing charts, you will see each service receives and processes about 2000 129f's each month, give or take, some more and some way less like may. But the thing i also see is the "other outstanding petitions" is also very high right now. They historically rip through the process when the "all other" is quite low. I just think they are booked right now and it is a balancing act to meet goals of each type they process.

Yes. It was just some bad timing for January filers. Maybe this week will be better. It would be nice if they could get through most of the remaining January petitions before the 4th...I would just be happy to have NOA2 by the end of June at this point. Maybe this week will finally put an end to the wait. I can't imagine having to go into July still waiting on all of this. At this point I'm probably just going to take a trip to the Dominican to pass the time with Julia. Going to just control what I can now because I've learned not to count on this all getting done in a timely manner..but I guess we'll see what happens this week.

This is my first time posting and I have been avidly reading this thread for a couple of weeks. We got our NOA1 on Jan. 23 and seem to be in the same batch with all of you waiting for VSC to adjudicate. The last touch was also on Feb. 9 like many of you. I am optomistic that this week we will see approvals. As soon as we get our NOA2 I will post. I am crossing fingers for this week. Waiting is hard! Feels like my life is on hold right now, waiting for this.

yes I think we all survived thanks to this website and our little thread! It would be hard not knowing that other people are on the same boat. We would be kept in a total dark and wouldn't know what's happening :) but well we have each other and the good thing is: we will all be approved soon. Some earlier (as we can already see) , some later but we will all get there!

I was just really hoping to move there in the beginning of September but I would have to hear sth by the end of June, even then I am sure it will be hard to squeeze the interview in August... but there's a hope! I am all hopeful now but I am certain I'll get depressed again when I don't hear anything this or next week... We are pretty much on hold, we don't know whether he should buy a ticket to see me or should we wait as the approval can come anytime now and we don't want to waste his last few days of holidays if we can keep them and have a pre-honey moon when I get there...Really hard to decide anything at this stage...

Today is the 5-months mark for me too. This has to be our week. As many of you said, being part of this community helps a lot...waiting all alone and with this lack of informations would be excruciating. Thank you all!!
