Found out that mine should get to embassy today too. Hopefully late afternoon Ukrainian time. And if I'm lucky should be able to find out an interview date this week. The petition is already there in the system electronically so I'm guessing there shouldn't really be any lag related to receiving the hard copy. Only that it's received and that should be enough.

mine was delivered and signed for 1/2h ago :) now hoping to hear from the embassy by the end of this week... unfortunately Neetz is still waiting for her interview date ( 2 weeks now) so I am not quite sure how much our embassy is affected with holidays etc... anyway I am excited either way :)

So tomorrow is 3 months from my wedding and the deadline to move the date if I need to. If we can't get the letter tomorrow, would it be a good idea to move the wedding again? I know he should be here within 3 months no matter what, but I can't help but worry.

We have a case number. Yay! And we set our official wedding date and started booking our stuff. I hope Ray is here by November 3rd or that will be a disappointing wedding! blush.gif

How did all of you know when your case left for the embassy? By calling? She said they will send a notice, but I am assuming that is by regular mail, not e-mail. Is that correct?

Thanks all, have a great week!

Call the DOS, and they can tell you if packet 4 has been sent and when your interview date is if it has been assigned. Don't just wait for the letter. You might have already been assigned something on Friday. They are open at the moment so give them a call.

Thanks! My fiance just called the DOS (I was going to call but the website says it's $16:00 and I'm not sure what that means) and they said we have no date yet. They said it can take 4 weeks to process an "application"?

But he also called the medical place and the letter can be e-mailed or faxed. Now it's just getting the GP to write it. When my fiance was talking to the temp about it on Friday, she said "That's what secretaries are for."

Guys, my file is at the embassy as of today. How long should I wait before faxing the required documents? In Italy you'd need to send the part one of DS230 and a form stating you have gathered what they require for the interview, and then they'd schedule you.

Thank you.

I hope and pray they will finish January so all our friends can move on. Git-r-done VSC!
