Embassy just received our case and I booked my appointment for sept 6 :) yay

I wanted that particular week since the medical is scheduled for the end of August (the doctor wasnt available sooner)

I guess I can go ahead and book my ticket soon for the day I originally wanted - sept 27 :)

I am very excited!

Guys don't loose hope! Once you have the noa2 it moves freaking fast!

I will send positive thoughts for you, it's Thursday, noa2 time!!!!

That's so great! I'm a little jealous, we won't get our interview date until the medical is done, so probably another two weeks ;) You're right, though, it does move really fast after the NOA2! I'm thinking of all of you waiting and I hope this week is the week. I can't believe they can keep saying 30 more days, 60 more days. They must be getting a lot of expedite requests.

Yes. they act as if 2 months is nothing...haha. well it is something after you've already waited over 6 months ...But hopefully none of us will need to be using such a request..There's very few of us still waiting now....Going through the timelines most have received some sort of action..and many that are not updated in any way are inactive profiles..

Hey guys :) So idk if some of you filed the new DS-230 available here http://www.state.gov/documents/organization/81807.pdf but it has yellow highlighted parts...The embassy sent me the older version "expires 06/30/12" and this one has no yellow bars. Is it likely to be a problem? I would simply fill the version they sent me but I can't find it anywhere online. Thanks for your help, and let's hope for some approvals today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well yes it's different. I called the doctor she said I have to get all things done separately, blood, x ray etc...

All she does is signs papers and checks vaccinations.

It's not a real medical. She just reviews stuff. Hopefully it will all go well for all of us here!

I can't believe I will start our life together this year :) its so awesome:)

I noticed someone for 1/18 had withdrawn their petition..it was actually dated as an update for today August 2nd when I checked around 8 am. Looks like they're up and working quite early today. It still seems to keep with the trend that good things happen in the afternoon. ha. and the morning is hard to determine what you'll see.

Fill out what they gave you, its unlikely your going to find it online. Once they update the forms online, the older versions are removed. As long as the forms arent more than a year old, it should be ok. thats the policy at our consulate

It'll be great that we get to get started in 2012 :) And you'll get your wedding date that you wanted, which is wonderful. I just hope my fiance gets here about a month before the wedding so he can help me finalize everything. I've concentrated so much on getting the visa that I only have the basic wedding stuff done (dress, food, location, photographer). And mine's a small one too, only 30-50 people.

So is ours, just 25 people :)

Including 4 babies :) its just the closest family and best friends.

Reception will take 3 hours only (but we will have an after party at our place)

Im glad we have all those things taken care of.. Dress, shoes, suit, photographer, ceremony, reception.... We planned everything ahead, even though it looked like we were not gonna make it.

Last things we are missing are flowers for church and cake and our marriage license. Oh and the visa of course haha

Planning was fun, you will enjoy it :)

I think I will. My flowers are actually going to be paper, I found a good seller on Etsy. I was able to book the ceremony and reception for the same place, and I got my dream photographer, which was my biggest want :) We're doing three mini cakes instead of a big cake, since it's such a small wedding. It's so close to Christmas that we're going to do some garland and lots of candles so that decorating won't run too expensive. We've pretty much got it planned, but I still have to put a few things into place.

Yes, the visa is the most important part haha. We sent packet 3 today so we just need the medical and the interview and we're good.

Im going to follow your example i think. I got stressed out trying to figure this out. Possibly planning a 350+ people wedding. Our circumstances (k1 petitions) are not the typical. We don't have a full year to plan for a big wedding.

It is very difficult. Johns family is big but it would be so difficult to plan it out under these circumstances, plus I am here, he is there.

That's why we have decided to go with a very small wedding.

Ceremony at 1;30

Then some pics

Reception at our favorite family restaurant from 3;30-7;00

After party at our place! Beer time haha

My fiance is the biggest fan of Notre Dame so since they play that nite, we figured we were just gonna have beer after with the younger part of the family and friends haha

Many people do a little civil wedding at first and then later on a big normal one... So you might consider that option too.
