When I see an RFE for for my day, my heart sinks. I am getting so nervous and anxious. I really, really, really don't want an RFE. I just keep praying for an approval. My number is in a little group of 14 and in the last 2 days there has been a lot of activity. 7 of them approved, 5 still untouched and 2 with RFEs today that Sabi just reported. I really hope they will get to mine shortly (approval only please).

What about everybody else's little group of numbers?

All those with approvals, please distract me with an update on your situation :)

I understand in my mind that at least it has been looked at, but I still don't want one haha At this point for me, it would be a much longer delay. Plus, since there is nobody active on VJ (that I know of) that is going through the Embassy in Kuwait, I'm kind of on my own and don't know what to expect or have any information on what to do in the later stages after NOA2. I have to rely on embassy reviews from a few years ago.

I hope your journey goes smoothly after you respond to the RFE :)

Thanks Vos... :D

And just to put it in perspective a little bit... We got the RFE email July 5th... therefore it has actually added almost a month to our waiting time so far... but VSC goes by the date they receive your RFE response, put it in their system and you get the case status update.

No more RFE's... No more RFE's... especially for these fine January peeps still waiting!! PUUULLLLEEEEEAAAASEEE!! ^_^

Wow. that's shocking Sabi...And I just can't figure out how some representatives succeeded in receiving an expedite for some users here on VJ. I just don't understand this inconsistency at all...My Congressman still has not received any response back from them and it's been a week since they contacted. It's all so frustrating. It's probably that 1/16 date in the system that's blocking (arbitrarily blocking) some people from acquiring an expedite...well the torture continues I suppose..Yeah I know right? 6 months was the new 5 months...Now 7 months is the new 6 months..When's it going to end?

can I be honest with you? I don't think any of them managed to expedite any of those cases... they were simply already with the adjudicator and they were approved within the next few days... if expediting was possible they would all be approved within the same time frame after senator contacted USCIS... then when USCIS tells the senator that the case is approved, he sends a letter that it's approved and he is closing the case... I really believe that now. I doubt they have any power at all, they just want to look helpful since it's the election time soon ;)

All those with approvals, please distract me with an update on your situation :)

No updates for the 2 "Honduran" ladies in here...haha, we are locals now! Anyway, we had some crazy news yesterday since Kate's other half went to see the consultant that I talked to last week and he got TOTALLY different answers than I did...so we don't know what the hell is going on. We might be screwed into paying her now...it's a complicated, insane situation all b/c we were trying to connect with someone who has an "in" at the Embassy here and could at least get a response from them since they haven't responded to our emails or phone calls from a month ago....but I have feeling we are just out of luck and will be waiting until October for interviews. It would have been September but since our stuff all sat at CSC for a month, we now have another month wait added on to the 2 months that this country always takes just to schedule. So that will be almost as long as the wait from NOA1 to NOA2. Joy to the freakin' world. :bonk:

January 3, 2012 Mailed I-129F

January 9, 2012 NOA1

June 11, 2012 NOA2 rec'd 154 days later...

Yes. I'd rather wait longer than receive an RFE. It would mean that I wasted 2,000$ on an attorney to arrive in exactly the same place as if I had made an error :( .. In terms of activity. It's been very strange in my group of 14 petitions...

8 are still untouched. 6 have received some action: 1 approval July 3rd, 3 approvals June 29th (god I wish I was them) 1 RFE response July 23rd (from July 2nd RFE) and 1 new RFE this week for July 30th (the 14th petition in the group)...

It's all over the place in terms of activity....so far today. nothing at all.
