I think that as long as we have the medical date, we can send in packet 3, but I could be wrong. I'm going to get my fiance to pay extra for the police certificate to get back here faster. So far, the police certificate has been the biggest problem for us as most of his friends are still in school and can't sign for him yet. He only got back from visiting me 2 weeks ago or we would've taken care of this long before.

It's probably that you send it packet 3 with your medical date listed, and then once they get your results, they'll schedule an interview. That makes the most sense.

Since your case is being sent to london and probably there already, you can book your medical and send your packet three and four letters right now (Obviously you'll need your police certificate)... my signature tells it all on that one :)

We will, we're just waiting on the police certificate to come back :) We should be sending it off today. This might delay us by a few weeks, but my fiance will need time to sell his house and car anyway.

even though i dont wish for it, its not in my control, so we strategically thinking about what if we get an RFE, she wont be in be able to get her hands on the RFE note until Saturday, so that leaves us with monday to respond and mail it even if it was delivered to the address she's moving to say thursday or friday....so were thinkin

oh yes that makes sense... but if you don't change it earlier and she moves on Friday and it arrives to the old address after she moves? I am not sure, it is your decision guys :) unless it is easier for her to collect the mail from the old address than the new one and someone will actually let her know :)

My fiancee tried to get her police cert, but they said she needs NOA2 and case number letter.

I sent her NOA2 today so she will try again with just this. Is there some paper you get with a case number on it from NVC?

Thanks

I called the NVC to get my LND case number. They needed my USCIS receipt number when I called the NVC, then they gave me my case number over the phone. The number is (603) 334-0700. I think you do eventually get a letter from the NVC, but it's much faster to call.

okay. what is happening at VSC? this has seriously been one of the slowest weeks for approval in a very long time...things are bad...i really wish someone could give us some answers...I guess it's off to the senator now...i'm feeling pretty certain my Congressman got a relatively canned response..still not a word from them...not good.

Seems like we were already assigned to adjudicators who are now having to review cases they gave RFEs from earlier in the month.....thats the only explanation to the stand still. there were a lot of RFEs for peeps in the Jan 6th to jan 13th so maybe they just getting back and approving those, and due to this, we get pushed back cause i cant see any other reason. jan 18th-20th is just at a stand still

yes. hopefully they will clear these out and get this month over with. would be good to see some more RFEs approved. Just would be happy to see some progress. I received a letter from my Congressman's office that stated they contacted USCIS on my behalf and have urged them to review this matter promptly and to advise him (the Congressman's office) regarding what action they are taking on it....basically they'll contact me when they hear something..hope it's soon. and maybe this directs some more attention toward my adjudication as well as others who might still be waiting somewhere in the pile. only time will tell..I guess I should give it a few days now and revisit the situation next week. I don't want too much heat on it until I get an official response. It might become confusing for USCIS to have multiple offices dealing with my petition. if Congress office strikes out then I guess I can use other sources but for now the wait continues......It's still very scary to think it took over 1.5 months to review 5 days worth of petitions (9-13) at VSC. But I guess it means most of us should be done with this in about a month....guess we might be approaching the 200s ...When we do get approved it's really going to increase that average processing time on VJ. this lag in approvals is not indicating the true picture to everyone.

Update from our senator: Terry actually managed to get through to Jeff Bingaman himself. He said he would ask the USCIS to expedite our case... I don't keep my hopes up, we will see what will be the result of that...

Updates for today:

January 4 :

1 x RFE (after almost 7 months!!!)

There are still like 12 petitions untouched from January 5, I hope it's just a glitch and they didn't update the system and those people actually got their NOA2 in a post!

wow. still a snail's pace for sure...I will look into my Senator next week...I thought USCIS had 24 hours to respond to Congress so I'll be surprised if there isn't any information by Friday...I'm interested to know their official response. Just hoping it's not canned ..Maybe Senators are more experienced with intricacies of Expedites and navigating the USCIS system. Hope so..and really need some more approvals later..it seems like they just have 1 adjudicator randomly picking off a few K1s each day. I don't see how it continues at this rate without the system just being overwhelmed beyond recovery by one service center.

Yup..Just feels so anemic with the approvals right now..Even though we aren't seeing anything on VJ, we should be seeing significantly more movement when going through the numbers...there's just so many petitions that remain untouched or RFEd. Just seems like it keeps growing..feels like they just want to work January forever. Noticing a few more February petitions coming through...But just adds more to the mystery of what is going on over there.
