Note: My senator's office just called me back and I told her I just made a request for expedite, but she said their office will still follow-up through their channels just in case my request doesn't make it. Well at least the senator's office is helpful. For all you Texans, call Senator Cornyn's office for help. The immigration assistant is Janie Skillman.

fingers crossed! that would probably give some hope to the rest of us... at this stage though it will be hard to say when you are approved let's say tomorrow if that was thanks to the expedite or you were just simply next in line :P

I absolutely understand where are you guys coming from, that's why I said "what we see, depends on where we are standing" . It's perfectly fine when people vent about their frustration and I don't think I ever commented on anything like that before but this time there were comments about how people would prefer to wait for NOA2 rather than having to wait for NVC or embassy's response...I was only making comment about that. In a quoted by you post, I was actually trying to show Beth good points of her situation, assuming that this is what we are here for, trying to make others feel better. I know that we are all selfish in a way, looking at our own issues but sometimes looking at how much worse it could be, can really make us feel better for a while at least. That's what I have been doing those past few days myself and I thought that giving that advice would help someone else to feel better too... maybe you didn't understand what I was trying to say or maybe I didn't dress it in the right words which happens to me a lot. If so, I apologies if you feel this way, that wasn't my intention...I'd rather stop posting here myself than making others feel not welcomed since I believe we are a one big family here...

You were just trying to help Sabi. And sometimes to look at a situation from another perspective can help someone to see the positive aspects in a difficult time. It's just hard sometimes because we are only limited to words here. No inflection of voice, body language, or other non verbal cues. You are a great part of this community, and we are all one big family here. Everyone who has embarked on this "visa journey" has a very big heart for committing the time, energy, and sacrifices necessary to be with his or her loved one. All shall pass in time, and we will look back at this with amazement and pride that we were all so strong.

Trust me, I do not want you to stop posting in here! I totally understand your position, it's just that we (both Beth and I - we live close to each other and we have basically been each other's support since before the NOA2) are in for what seems to be a long ride with getting an interview date. I know it had to suck big time to be waiting for the NOA2 still, so I totally feel for you and everyone else. I just don't people to feel that they can't share. Trust ne I think I've cried more tears AFTER the NOA2 than before, lol! This process is crazy, and makes us feel crazy weird emotions sometimes. I'm not minimizing your waiting or how painful it must be. I'm on your side, waiting for the day that I wake up to your all caps post of being approved. I only want to feel ok posting here because my family and friends only understand so mich, you know? They all think it's an easy, quick process.

yes it is hard to express all that we are trying to say in writing... what is obvious to us, isn't to someone else who reads that. When we all meet it will be easier to understand the way we are and what we mean by saying certain things. We are a bunch of strangers , yet we have so much in common!

"Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay then it's not the end"

Absolutely! I agree 100% unfortunately as you know, we can only understand as much without being in someone else's shoes :)

Been there, cried a river or an ocean but there are better days ahead of us, it's so bad right now that it can only get better from here on :) each and every one of us here deserves for this journey to be over! whichever stage we are on... :)

I wouldn't say to you: "be patient or relax , it will come one day" as I have heard that from friends or family and it absolutely drives me nuts when they say that! No one knows how hard it is until they are actually in that situation! So you are absolutely right!

And I do not try to minimize your pain, I know it must be hard for you but god how much would I give to be with my love right now. I consider you lucky and that won't change! :)

I might look into contacting my Senator next if my Congressman is not successful (Not sure how much experience his office has dealing with immigration)....But congrats on getting that expedite possibly through Vosnmars

fingers crossed! that would probably give some hope to the rest of us... at this stage though it will be hard to say when you are approved let's say tomorrow if that was thanks to the expedite or you were just simply next in line :P

Thanks! I'll see how it goes. I'm 99% sure my request will be denied. However, If I get approved tomorrow, I'll give credit to the expedite, but that's only if its tomorrow and that's it.. haha laughing.gif

Senator's office failed us, after we sent them our information, 3 weeks later they telling us they cant do anything until month end, even though we pass 6 months. Congress man office emailed us that they are going to contact uscis about our case and that we should wait a few days to hear from her to receive some reposes from uscis. i certainly hope this helps. and to every one else in the struggle continue to hold on, i know its hard, who feels it know so we gotta support provide morale support to each other.

someone mentioned before (could have been me :P ) that it is actually calculated as full months and not just from the date we received our NOA1... well August is just around the corner but let's hope that this is the last excuse!

Wow I reread my post and it was chock full of errors. Looks ugly for an English teacher! Yes, Sabi, I consider myself lucky too. I couldn't imagine it any other way though. That's why I know how tough it must be for everyone else who is separated, I cried for hours thinking about going back to the US without him in tow! (We are really too attached I think.)

Anyway I think tomorrow will be the day for y'all! Can feel it in my bones.
