Oh Dear I feel much better today... I figured out what my problem is! I keep planning in my head and setting up dates by when I should move and everytime USCIS doesn't meet my deadline I am depressed! From today I am trying to take it as it is! As long as it is going to happen this year which I hope it will!

I'm glad to see it indicates some light at the end of the tunnel! Many of us can push for an expedite at the end of this week. VosnMars what is your received date when you put in your receipt number on the USCIS website? Is it 1/20? I'm thinking I'll have my Congressman finally make his call on Wednesday (been saving it for this) and hopefully go for the expedite if the 1/18 received date would make me eligible this Wednesday (7/18)..This gives me a lot of hope..finally we can do something. And maybe I'll hear something tomorrow or Wednesday. But I probably won't let anymore time be wasted after 7/18. Enough time has passed now for all of us.

Yes Paul my received date is 01/20. Let's see what happens!

thanks for the info. Hopefully we see some movement today. I'm going to put a call into my Congressman tomorrow since that will be my 5 months + 30. But maybe won't even have to do it. That would be nice too. *fingers crossed for today.*

I decided to call the NVC in the high hopes that our petition would be in their system given it was mailed from CSC on Thursday. They had it!! We have our London number!

Our Congressman's office is contacting VSC again on our behalf this week to get an update to our RFE now that we've sent back what they need. We'll see what kind of response we receive this time. Our RFE says a minimum of 14 days for them to process, but she is calling this week anyway... :)

The same day they initially contacted VSC we got the RFE... like within hours... :blink:

PS: We never initiated a service request.

Interesting that they RFEd the same day as they received a Congressional inquiry. What did they RFE for? Really hoping we see a better day at VSC today.

No changes on the reported processing date (not surprised still January 9th) but the CSR did say that this date is typically updated between the 15th and 20th of each month...so it will be interesting to see if there is a change this week. Looks like Congressman here I come.

Interesting that they RFEd the same day as they received a Congressional inquiry. What did they RFE for? Really hoping we see a better day at VSC today.

My fiance filed a notarized stamped page indicating his divorce status from the county clerk's office where his divorce was finalized (in 2007). But because it did not say "Final Divorce Decree" they sent us the RFE. We have since sent them that... (all 33 pages of it). They received it last Friday.

If they emailed VCS... they will get something in writing... I would think it would be very soon since you've hit 6 months!!
