At this point, I just wish I could know where our petition is, i am getting more and more anxious that it might be lost...but even that info is refused to us ! We will hit the 6 months mark next tuesday, is there any chance for us to be able to put a service request or will they serve us " we are currently processing Jan 9th" ####### again ? We were thinking to write to the ombusman as well ? Is this any good ? We plan to send a little reminder to my fiance local congressman too. We will attack them from all front but i'm afraid that it will be to no avail... Any thoughts ? Is there anything else we can do ?

I already see one today from 1/23. star_smile.gif

Good luck January friends. I'm banking on seeing a bunch of you approved today yes.gif

Yup. At least some progress! Hope they don't keep forgetting about the 1/20 NOA1s. It's the single most neglected NOA1 date on the entire website. It's like something on the box says Do Not Touch This..hoping for a lucky Friday the 13th here.

Yes. It's really getting ridiculous. Especially when we call and they tell us January 9th as though there's no reason for us to complain because surely that's as far as they've gotten. There's absolutely no reason we should be waiting into the 180s. I haven't had my Congressman go full force yet, as I kept fearing it would delay it in some way (but maybe next week it's time to really get aggressive). Just very very tired. But maybe tonight some more of us will have the chance to celebrate. I'm just tired of having to tell my fiance that I don't have a damn clue what's going on. Every week feels like ground hogs day. Just the same disappointment over and over again. I'm exhausted...The lack of consistency in this entire process is simply inexcusable. I think wanting approval in a reasonable time frame should not be an absurd request.

It's tough right now...especially when we see how fast adjudications our coming out of CSC. was hoping so much to have an approval by the weekend...but as we are all accustomed to by now. Friday is usually pretty disappointing at VSC...Wish they could surprise some of us..but I'm not getting my hopes up...I think best chance is for next week now...

me too... although it will be an extremely hard weekend without any news...

It's worth a try. I contacted Ombudsman and my senator right after I hit the 5 month mark. My senator said that my file was on someone's desk and I couldn't do anything until 7/17 (so, 6 months). I never heard back from Ombudsman. If it gets to 6 months for you, I would definitely contact USCIS and ask for a service request, as well as contacting the congressman again. I just checked and about half the petitions around mine are approved/RFE'd, and the other half are untouched, Since they approved mine yesterday without me putting in a service request (I tried and got the 1/9 processing time response), I think they'll be working on a lot today and early next week to get them approved before the 6 month mark.

Yes. I think you're right Knope. I'm expecting approval by the end of next week at this point. It would be right up to the 6 month mark for me. And when you look at Igor's list all the mid Jan filers are next in line (beginning and end of the month are just about completely finished up. So hopefully this is it now..Finally.

I hope so too, for all of you. They might be doing this so they can still report 5 months under processing times.

Good point!

I just can't believe there is no way to find out what's up... It gotta be one freaking box just "lost" somewhere. Or the adjudicator for mid jan filers has been sick for weeks or something.

There has to be some explanation!

Yes. our petitions are MIA right now. only 1 approval for 1/20 NOA1s so far. worst statistics for all of the January petitions when you look at the number of 1/20 NOA1s that are still pending. CSC is a magnificent site to behold..They are blazing through K1s. The number of pending petitions at VSC is insane right now. Hopefully we don't end up with just a single approval from VSC today. Would be absolutely pathetic with the backlog that's going on.

And now there's a thread by someone whose I-129F was approved within 43 days. How does that even happen? I guess that proves once again that there's no rhyme/reason to this process.

It's been four weeks today since our petition was approved, but our case has yet to make it to the NVC. I'm still going to remain hopeful that he'll be here by October, though.
