January I-129F filers

I just got an email back from my senator office stating that my fiance's file is stuck at the security check. Do you guys know how much it takes to do a security check on a 22 year old girl, even if she's from Iran?

At this stage i dont think anyone will e able to give you an answer for auch question. Look at it this way, at least you know they didnt lose your file hopefully you'll hear sth within a week as long as they work on it, it shouldn't be long now

Don't you worry guys. Even though there was no updates yesterday i am sure they approved many people and will update the system just today, just like they did last Tuesday! hopefully we will hear sth from our congress people today!

You might want to ask in your regional forum. From what I understand Iran does get some additional scrutiny, but it's not always the person that holds it up and that the Iranian government sometimes is *ahem* tardy, in responding to people.

I didn't know Lorie had sent the email until we spoke at lunch, and I'm glad she did. We've both been rooting for everyone even though we're approved.

OMG!!!!....Our VJ timeline has just moved out to July 27th to Aug 6th.......any chance of my daughter being able to start school on time just gets further away by they day...this really sucks!!!

On January 23 Vermont Service Center received my I-129f petition for an alien fiancée and I never heard anything from them after that although it states on USCIS web-site that the processing time for this type of petitions at VSC is 5 months. So now we are outside normal processing times. If possible could you please see to why we are entering month 6th with no action on our case whatsoever? It has come to my personal attention that there are many outstanding petitions 'received' in January 2012 that have not been approved. Meanwhile it appears the VSC has moved on to process and approve petitions received in February.

Thank you in advance for what information you may be able to provide."

Hope that will also get them moving!

Guys they didn't really move on to the petitions received in February check the timelines, those people are January filers except for 2 it's been always this way that they were approving some odd ones from different months, we are just a bit oversensitive now with those petitions because it was to be our month ...

Yes. the biggest issue isn't that some February petitions have been approved. It's the lack of consistency in January itself and the fact that VSC has shown little to no progress. CSC put out 5 approvals again on VJ timelines and that's on a Monday. We have 0....

I actually checked the numbers at the USCIS even though I was not to and there was no movements whatsoever. However there were a few petitions that updated only yesterday for 06/21 and 06/21 . Really odd... I am sure they worked on some January petitions and will update today just like they did last Tuesday!

Well, that was interesting reading. I discuss these things on a daily basis with my fiance. She has a folder with everything in it she may need. When its approved, I will send her the remaining docs. We practice questions to keep her answers clean and to the point. The truth is so easy, because its the truth, but they are not wanting to hear our complete history. This is the most stressful thing I think I've done. Maybe combat, but waiting and getting close to time is mental torure.

It's very interesting reading, but I take issue with them saying that forums won't give good advice. There's plenty of good advice here for those who will read. Plus the English and grammar in the picture at the bottom are terrible, so I wouldn't count on them to tell me how to fill out my petition No updates for me today. I am hoping that several get approved when they update their servers. When did you notice they had updated last Tuesday, Sabi?

I read this too, and I think they exaggerate to try and get you to pay for their service. Where are they backing up their numbers with proof?

The more I read the more I think we are all going crazy with this wait, and the whole process...

If I use the date they received our petition at VSC we are at 151 days now! Activity all around our petition, but ours remains untouched!
