Thanks LorRenee! I called USCIS and get fed the same ####### you all have been reporting. I mentioned that I knew for a fact that people who filed in February had been approved and he just continued to say they were working on 1/09. I said "well your website says the processing times are 5 months, so why can't we do an inquiry?" and he said it was because their computers say they're working on 1/9 and I said "ok well when will we be able to do an inquiry? There's a clump of us who filed around the same date as mine and we have heard nothing and we know feb people have been approved" he said when the dates shift in the computer past our date we can do an inquiry. It was like talking to a brick wall.... I felt like banging my head against the wall after talking to them. If I could have, I would have gently banged his head against the wall... Haha

Yes. It's a robo call. I'll probably call again at the end of the week if I haven't heard anything...so far today has been quiet..too quiet.. :(

They have been on Jan 9th forever now ! At this pace we will be able to do a service request in 3 months or something !! I don't have any faith in VSC and their crappy unfair, unreluable and inconsistent system ! I think we should all filed with our local congressman !

Maybe if we bombard them with calls, they'll tell VSC and VSC can look into it. Maybe they will get sick of us calling and do something other than feed the dumb response

well that's actually true as the rest had their petitions delivered in January, unless we look at the NOA1 which we don't ;)

Either way they started approving January petitions in April, we almost have July! That's one month throughout 3 months! I hope we get some answers soon. Our congress person didn't get back to us and I doubt they will today. We rang them last Thursday. Going to watch some True blood now, at least this way I can forget about this madness for around an hour...

VSC MUST speed up the process this week before 4th of July holiday. Come on CSC is heading to middle of February and you are still in January!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some of y'all have waited longer than Photomile and I, it's ridiculous.

Here's what I sent the Ombuddy

"Good afternoon,

I had emailed about a month ago asking about the current status for January 3rd petitions that were outstanding. My case has now been approved, however the same inconsistency with the adjudications coming from Vermont doesn't seem to be improving. This is concerning because the entire month of January now seems to be neglected, save for the 5-6 approvals we see in a week. This is most unusual, even more so when petitions filed in February are now starting to see approval.

It would be extremely appreciated if you could investigate this. While I might already have my approval, I am speaking on behalf of those who have passed day 160 of waiting, or are approaching it.

Calling the USCIS call center is excruciating. We have been told they are currently processing January 9th, and have been told this for nearly two weeks. Those wanting a service request simply cannot have anything done on their file because of this inaccurate date. The system will not let them. Why would we see February if this is the case? I hope you can understand the frustration.

If something has caused Vermont to slow down this drastically, a little reassurance would be a relief. Why hasn't there been activity? This is the main question everyone has been asking.

If you can do anything at all, we would be forever grateful.

Thank you for your service and what ever information 30+ people are hoping you will be able to provide."

Cross your fingers!

Thank you so much for doing this, LorRenee! It's been another long day for me. No change on the petitions around mine, or on mine. I'm hoping we'll at least see some progress tonight. The fact that they've designed the system to the point where they can spend three months approving half a month of petitions, and we can do nothing, is ridiculous.

Yea, mine is working on it. I expect they will get a better response than what we've been fed. They at least have some pull in this. I will mention to mine about our plight and see if we can go to someone higher than their office or if she can go to them. They wan your votes to keep them in office so they will get something done. Our tax dollars pay their salary so they have to keep us happy as much as they can :) I have faith in mine. She is on the ball.

Thanks for your support and empathy. That really expressed my sentiments as well. Being separated from the one you love over something like this is excruciating.

To be honest guys it feels to me as if this 5 months processing time was really 5 months counted in full months, doesn't matter they got your petition on January 1st or 31st. The whole June will be within processing time until we jump into July and that's 6th month then... I am telling you, there is no way they would be saying it if it was any other way...

I think they gonna use the holiday as another excuse for the delay in processing time. It'll be the middle of the month before they start working on more approval in July.

That's what I'm afraid of too..We really need to see some approvals come through this week. Especially yours K.C. You have been patient enough and it's terrible you have had to wait so long. Hopefully we could see 12-18 approvals of VJ timelines this week (conservative estimate) but really we should see around 20 if they pull things together. Should be pumping out like 5 a day right now minimum. But it would also be great if they decided to give us 7 a day the rest of the week. Now that would be impressive. Imagine if they actually put some effort out the rest of this week and we could see 28 timelines updated with approvals here on VJ. It's nice to dream it I guess..
