I thought I saw Photomile did that. I wasn't aware of it until he said something about it and I looked it up. Who knows..it might help

It might. I sent a letter to my senator yesterday, so I'll do anything possible. I tried to do a board search on it, but couldn't find a lot.

I actually haven't heard of this being done here before. I wonder if it helps? I'm with Paul, I would consider it at 160 days.

We sent one and inquired about the Jan 3rd petitions. I think I remember reading somewhere that you shouldn't actually inquire about your specific case, but I might be wrong.

Here's what I emailed him:

"Good afternoon,

If possible, could you please advise the current status of I-129f petitions filed in January 2012 sent to Vermont? It has come to my personal attention that there are many outstanding petitions 'received' on January 3rd, 2012 that have not been approved. Meanwhile it appears the VSC has moved on to process and approve later-dates including those toward the end of January. While it is my understanding that some petitions take longer than others, given the current date many, including myself, have waited a full 5 months and are now outside normal processing times, entering month 6th with no action on their case whatsoever.

Thank you in advance for what information you may be able to provide,"

After I sent it, a few days later we saw a few Jan 3rd petitions approved. I don't know if it helped in the long run, but it was nice to see some action anyway.

All in all, I don't know if it helped, but it felt good to bug someone about it.

*we never got a response, by the way saying they successfully received it or will look into it, so don't fret if you don't hear anything back.

I can't think about this anymore. The more I think abou it the angrier I become. It's stressing me out because I want to be approved before July 4th. I don't want to sit through another holiday. This is ridiculous. I still haven't heard anything from my congressman's secretary, but I know they are on the ball. I was going to call them back yesterday to do the inquiry and she beat me to the punch by calling me wednesday evening and the last contact I had with them was in May, so I know they will get back in touch with me as soon as they hear something. I just hope that it's today, but I really am not expecting it until Monday. I'll just have a... Hopefully.... Pleasant surprise if I hear something today

Seems pretty specific and you can even upload documents showing your effort and allows you to explain things.

Yes maybe it could get something moving. It's crazy to look through the VJ timelines and see the void around the time we filed. No activity at all. Many petitions after have received adjudication. Doesn't make any sense.

That's awful! I hope it's a system fluke too, because they're close to 6 months now. If I had a Jan. 3rd date, I'd be calling USCIS and my congressman hourly at this point.

Talked to the attorney today. Approvals from VSC have been very very slow. Completely quiet...However, CSC is churning them out like there's no tomorrow...man this sucks...

Hey January Filers!!!!!

I am a February Filer, and i just wanted to let you guys know we have already begun to receive ours as of monday, as predicted on VJ timeline stats. I have heard over and over again Jan is being delayed by ALOT and i thought maybe letting you know this might encourage you guys to contact the service center or anyone else who can find out whats happening.

It's really sad... Looks to me like they are trying to cover up how slow they are with going straight into the next month so their statistics look good! It is ridiculous!
