Wow. that's crazy. USCIS is looking for very basic information (confirming a meeting within the past two years. They should have saved most of that for the interview. But I guess it can be consulate specific sometimes with the front-loading. I have a feeling today will be a much slower day (it is a Friday afterall..) But hopefully we'll see a couple people get something today. Wish they would hit the 1/20 NOA1s. Feels like we've been idling around forever.

I know :( I stop expecting anything on Thursday's and Friday's. After you've been at work all week, you tend to slack a little bit on Thursday's and Friday's.

wasn't everybody's?

thats about the amount i sent in.. for I129F..

Come to think of it... You're probs right. I didn't think mine was near that much but it probably was at least 100 pgs

he's a January touch :)

Yes. Hopefully we're all sitting in a pile together. They need to start picking us off one by one. If we see some more 2/09 touches come through we might actually have some sort of pattern to all of this.

Lol! :) And you were a 2/9 touch right?

1/9, Never had anything after that!

I'm sure it was well-organized Photomile. The average person might not want to send anything like that in however. It just slows them down because they are looking for very specific information. But again I think it depends on the consulate. high fraud consulate it might be better for front loading so that before the interview they have had time to examine the evidence. When I submitted the petition I was told to focus on quality and brevity. USCIS is all about confirming a meeting within the past 2 years and some basic relationship evidence i.e. photos together. I think my submission was probably about 40-50 pages of various things. I probably didn't even need half of what I included. I think I remember a couple veteran users from VJ that only submitted a single photograph and some irrefutable evidence of meeting (i.e. boarding pass, passport stamp, couple receipts). It would be interesting to know what a lot of the RFEs end up being for. The relationship is primarily evaluated at the consulate. USCIS job is very simple. Background. Meeting. And maybe a little evidence of ongoing.

I have the whole thing in PDF. We were so worried and a little rushed so we just piled everything on. Fortunately for the USCIS there were dividers in everything. If they didn't want something they could easily slice right down the line and reduce it. The big things were my plane ticket itinerary's and passport. That easily added a good seventy pages once I put the receipts and tickets in. (Plane tickets were about 15 pages each with email receipt, check in confirmation and tickets themselves, so three big trips, two of which that have additional flights attached, you can easily see where the bulk was)

I know :( I stop expecting anything on Thursday's and Friday's. After you've been at work all week, you tend to slack a little bit on Thursday's and Friday's.

I got this way as well. And yet ours happened on Thursday. I really hope it happens for you soon. I hated Thursdays and Fridays

Come to think of it... You're probs right. I didn't think mine was near that much but it probably was at least 100 pgs

Considering a photocopy of the passport is at about 30 pages for one person. Pretty easy to get to 100 I thought.

I hope so too Photomile, but if not me, then I hope some of us with 2/9 touches hear something soon. I'm coming up on 150 days so hopefully :( and I'm sure I will be like you, it'll come when I least expect it and I will laugh if it comes on a Friday :)

As for the packet, I copied my entire passport and his entire passport so yea... But I also made a little guide for my evidence with letters, explaining each page, and put tabs at the bottom of each page to the corresponding letter so that they didn't HAVE to flip through every single page of the passports to find our stamps :)

Bit like going to Johannesburg. All you need to do is say "I've been to JoBurg" because of course everyone knows you're not allowed to call it JoBurg unless you've been. No further evidence is needed.

Off topic here, but I'm gonna go start cramming. I have to memorize 200 top drugs brand name vs generic and refresh myself on conversion factors... Taking the PTCB exam on 7/18 to get my national pharmacy tech certification. That should keep me preoccupied and keep me from going insane over not hearing a peep from VSC!

Aside from our 129F and all the other related docs... our proof of meeting and evidence of ongoing was a 12 pages of pics, boarding passes, passport stamps from the 4 trips we had made at time of filing. I did it all up in a .pdf file.

Now I am just adding to it.. the 2 trips since filing and going to start printing skype logs, phone bills, text logs etc.. to prepare for consulate interview.

I am sincerely hoping that we get our NOA2 before end of June because our consulate in Montreal is extremely slow and I am really hoping to move by Oct 1st. I keep praying everyday for NOA2 for all of us here on this thread!

I feel terrible for the members here with the slower consulates. It has been an agonizing wait. We lost about a month with the slow down at VSC. CSC honestly looks to be in better shape right now than Vermont. If you look at the number of unapproved petitions. Most importantly, they seem to have approved in a more consistent way. Really hope the next 2 weeks won't disappoint us. I can't imagine how much of a backlog will grow if they don't start moving with adjudications. It needs to stay consistent.

THe london Embassy is slowing down in processing the non immigrant visa's during the olympics period. :-(

Kittylondon, I think you you try to get your interview as soon as you can, before it slows down. ( But I'm sure you already know this!) :-)
