ah. I wish. The group of 1/18s around me (about 14 of them) are still quiet. Must be in the other group of them (I think they were at a lower receipt number) But looks like some action is starting again at VSC. Maybe they'll get me later today. ha. hoping for it. I'm feeling like next week might be it. and maybe just maybe, if I'm lucky I could slip through this week.

What about me? I'm 13th and no nothing. I've called a couple times, but just worthless conversations.

There's not really any rhyme or reason to it, it seems. Some who filed 2-3 weeks after me have already been approved, and some from the beginning of January are still waiting. As it's been five months for you now, you can probably do a congressional inquiry, but people are divided on whether it speeds up or slows down a petition.

K1 Visa Timeline

01/13/2012 I-129F sent via USPS

01/16/2012 I-129F delivered

01/17/2012 NOA1 date on USCIS website

01/20/2012 Text and E-Mail Notification of NOA1!

01/20/2012 Check Cashed

01/23/2012 NOA1 Hardcopy

01/23/2012 Called USCIS to report that my fiance's name was misspelled on the NOA1

01/24/2012 Touched

01/26/2012 Received response to report, e-mail states error has been corrected.

02/08/2012 Touched

07/12/2012 NOA2! It took 177 days.

07/17/2012 NOA2 Hardcopy

07/20/2012 NVC received and forwarded to London

07/23/2012 Received in London

I think they also have a backlog of approved petitions waiting to be updated on their system! at least CSC! maybe thats cos they are speed approving many! aaah, I hope they'll get to mine soooon!

And I think this goes to prove that having your Congressman call to see the status of your case was no problem. If I do not have approval by the end of next week, I will be doing the same. At least to know that it's in the hands of adjudicator will alleviate some anxiety. You a star. ha
