My wife and I sent the AOS package on December 20,2011 and the status from the USCIS web site are always correct when they touch it. They sent the case to California center to speed up the process and when i research everybody was telling this is very good but now in the web site the status is:

"On January 18, 2012, a USCIS office received this case from the State Department with a request that we review it. We will notify you when we complete our review, or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283."

I dont know what to believe or what happen or if this is good or bad.

If somebody could say something about it i will appreciate it very much.

Thanks in advanced.

We got the same thing just means your local office is over whelmed with work and the calif. office is going to helo out. Most of the time I have read then this means no interview. I'm expecting our greencard at the end of feb begining or march.

I hope you get it, i know about the california center but what i dont understand is why they send it back to them from the State Department.

You get one letter that says sent to CSC, the other letter about a week later is telling you they received it.

If it's sent to your local office for interview it will list your local offices name.

That is a good sign . Most of the times that petitions are sent to CSC --they approve it without an interview , and also it speeds up the process. Keep your fingers crossed.
