whats needed with the I-864 form??

HI all!

I'm filing our AOS, and I think Im ready to send it off, but I have a few questions about the I-864 form..

1. What do I need to send with the form? Taxes I know, but do I need to do bank statements, pay stubs ect.? (same as I-134?)

2. My mother is filing the I-1864A because we are living with her, and she has been our co-sponsor. what does she need to have filed with the form? most recent taxes.. what else?

They say that you can also send in 6 most recent pay stubs or letter from the boss. Its in the instructions. It's on page 7. But this is just for additional evidence.

As far as i can tell its pretty much the same.. as filing I-134..

No it's not. The I-134 doesn't require tax returns. it only requires a letter from employer and letter from your bank.

The I-864 requires the most recent tax return (IRS transcripts are better). It also requires the amount for the prior 2 tax returns. You also require a letter from your employer. Pay stubs are additional.

Well for my I-134 I put in my letter from the employer, all my tax returns (3 years total), Bank Statement, Pay stubs, and the form I-134

so for me its just like filing the I-134...

for my Mom being the co- sponsor does she just need to do the tax return as well?? any addition evidence needed from her?? besides what they ask in the form

Tax returns, employment letter, last pay stubs..and a copy of you and your mom's passport or birth certificate (to show you and her are us citizens)..

As the co-sponsor, your mother will need to provide all the same documents as you have to, plus proof of being a USC or LPR. She can send a copy of her birth certificate, naturalization, the bio pages of her passport or a front and back copy of her green card if she is not citizen.
