Hello,

I still have 3 months left to apply for my citizenship based on marriage but we have separated out. I have

plans to go out of US, not sure for how long?. I know to keep GC, I can't stay more than 6 moths there.

But can I come like for a week and go back again. I know that will stretch total required stay period needed for

citizenship. Or it doesn't matter if I am applying after 3 yrs based on marriage. Would it be better to apply for

rentry permit (also from US or when I go to my country) as I am also planning to opt for 2 yrs of study there. Please let me know how it works if we legally do divorce & then I go out & plan to apply for citizenship after 5 yrs. And also if things work out in our marriage and I still plan to go out of US for 2 yrs and apply for citizenship too

Thanks
