In anticipation of the arrival of my husband, will we always have to use our Honduran marriage certificate?

This is our first marriage, and I'm thinking we will probably need to show proof of marriage for some things (joint accounts, etc). Is there a way to get an American/English certificate to show this? Also, not to be judgemental but I could make a more formal certificate with my home printer than the one we have from Honduras :bonk:

You must send to the uscis/nvc the same marriage certificate that they give you in la municipalidad (or your lawyer, if a lawyer married you)when you got married. There is no other legal paper that a CO will accept at the interview than that. If you want you may also get a marriage certificate translation. I did that, but it was a waste of money at the end, because they didnt even ask for it. This is optional. They just ask for the one that I told you before, with that you will be fine
