According to a previous post by nabaabdurrahman, "scheduled for delivery as agreed" is the default on the DHL website. i remember from that post, which i copied the info for future reference, when the embassy hands the passport off to DHL, it should say something like (and i quote from the post):

"Arrived at Sort Facility Cairo Egypt (it means its in DHL's possession)

Processed at Cairo Egypt

Departed Facility in Cairo Egypt (this means it left Garden City, Cairo)

Arrived at Delivery Facility in Cairo Egypt (this means it has arrived at whichever city delivers to the address..in our case Nasr City, Cairo)

With Delivery courier (this means it is out for delivery)

Signed by ______(this means VISA IN HAND!! woooohoooo)"

hope this helps...

hopefully others with actual experience in this will chime in... i just relay what i learn from others...

Thank you it just looks like to me that someone called to have the passport sent back to my husband's home

that's the way I am reading it and I know the visa isn't ready yet so I am wondering why.

Yes, it means it is still at the embassy waiting for the visa. I had this question myself. Dhl will update their site every few days but the email notifications are supposed to be real time so if they update it or the status changes you can be alerted.

You can sign up for email notifications everytime it changes hands.

He can call DHL and ask them if it arrived yet.

Or just wait and check the website everyday and see when it changes.

I hope it changes quickly and he gets his visa soon.

Good luck
