no, you can request the cd at the office the day you have your fingerprints taken, otherwise, te 100 questions are on the uscis website. you can download the questions and other matierials and take the test there.

at the asc center when you have your finger prints taken they give you a book with a cd about the civic test questions and answers 100 questions.or you can download the test, uscis.and samples

Had to request that book and CD at our biometrics appointment, took them ten minutes to find it. But was so much easier for us to download those hundred questions, printed those out on two sheets of paper. Typed in our state information for the answers and go through those a couple of times

Using Word, copied an pasted off the net, went through each question and bolded the answers eliminating the more difficult answers to multiple answer questions. Already knew the names of our governor, chief justice, and senator, don't like anyone of them, but had a mental block with the vice-president so had to look that out. Reformated the questions and answers into two columns to save printing space. Took me all but 30 minutes, but in the process, knew all the answers to all the questions to help my girls out.

Stepdaughter never looked at those two sheets until we drove off to her interview, answers were strong in her mind as well as my wife, both answered all six questions correctly. For both, the civics and English test lasted about two minutes, was going through that N-400 form that took the longest time for both of them. Now that is something you should be very well prepared for and your IO may try to trick you in that part of the interview.
