Thank you for all of your responses and support it really means a lot!. I was thinking that even if he outright asked for my contact information for his personal use that still shouldn't be allowed! No one should be put in the position of a person of authority trying to "get with you" as that is still a misuse of power. At the very worst he could say I was flirting with him etc etc but at the end of the day he is the one that is in authority and even if a woman throws herself at him he should still do his job, nothing more nothing less!. I see more young guys at Atlanta airport and I just sit and wonder....how were you given a gun and all of this power because it's not the first unprofessional person I have ran into there. When I entered about 8 months ago the officer at the POE seemed like he didn't really have a clue what he was doing and I'm pretty sure the only reason he let me in was because his friend made a joke and he was more interested in laughing with his friend than dealing with me. It would be interesting if something happens with the news because evidently Atlanta is known for this #######.

How did the officer get your email address to start with???

Hi everyone,

As some of you may know if you have read my previous post I was refused entry from the US not too long ago because I couldn't prove enough ties to my home country to visit under the VWP for 83 days. The officer that dealt with me was extremely flirtatious saying that I should "marry an immigration officer because I would have no trouble then" and saying that I would have "way more fun with him" than my boyfriend. Well I thought that this was probably something that they weren't allowed to do but just wanted to move on with what I was going to do next....today I received an email from this immigration officer saying that he hoped I arrived safely and he hadn't been able to stop thinking about me since I left. I'm not entirely sure where he got my email from but you do have to put it on the form when you enter and I did have to write it down about 2 other times when they were processing me. I have told my boyfriend and he's quite angry about the whole situation and he wants to do something about it, probably going down to the airport and making a complaint. I'm just wondering if anyone has been through a similar experience and if you have, did you take action?, did anything happen? I'm just a little bit worried about the fact that I complained making visits to the US more difficult in the future....But on the other hand I don't think any immigration officer or anyone who has such authority should be allowed to talk to anyone the way that he talked to me surely it's important to just do your job....

Hi everyone just a little update!.

My boyfriend heard from the chief immigration officer and he wants me to write a statement explaining what happened when I was there and he also wants me to forward the emails over to him. I will be doing that as soon as I get the contact info for the officer.

Hi everyone just a little update!
This is very positive, and we can probably be 99.44% certain that someone's head is going to roll, si man.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I would think it ought to roll. I am still amazed by the cheek of this 'officer' I wonder too if it is a stunt he has pulled before? Here's hoping it won't be one he is in a position to try again!

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

She did reply, which is what she said in post #8

I also do have the emails saved if they want to take a look at them. The only thing that I have said to him is that I was unhappy with what happened and that we shouldn't stay in contact under any circumstances because I'm sure his job wouldn't appreciate him using the immigration office to get a girls contact info.

I'll be interested in finding out what comes of all this. I'm still amazed that he pulled such a stunt.

Hello everyone! Another update!.

I submitted a statement about what happened to the immigration officer that deals with complaints and I also forwarded the emails, we will be calling him back in a week or so to find out what has happened. The local news station also called my boyfriend back and was very interested in the story so the woman who works at fox 5 news wants me to send her a story on exactly what happened and she also wants me to forward the emails to her.
