I just recieved the NOA2 notice in the mail. Does anyone have a generalized list of what happens next? Do we just wait to receive a letter stating my fiancee's interview date? What kind of questions do they ask in the interview? Are there more forms we need to be sending in? Are there documents that we need to gather? Furthermore, my fiance is in Mexico, and the mail is pretty sketchy there, so is there anything that the NVC will send to him that he will need? Or will I receive all the documents, and I can email or fax them to him? Please help because I have tried searching all over the net and I can't seem to find much info about what to do at this point, and we don't want to miss the 4 month deadline! Thank you so much!

Hello...Now that you have your NOA2. You should start gathering your information for your Affidavit of Support (form I-134). You will need your tax info, letter from your employer, a letter from your bank etc. Also pay your visa fees to the embassy. Send a copy of the NOA2 to your fiancé. Your fiancé will need to get a police clearance and go get his/her medical examination. Also send him/her documentation of an ongoing relationship. Good luck!

Welcome to VJ! Did you have a chance to dig through the Guides Section, yet? If no, this would be a great time so to do.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Different consulates have different procedures and requirements for the K-1 interview.

For Juarez, they will mail you an invitation letter when your case is received. It will be mailed out to the petitioner and beneficiary. A lot of times the one in Mexico never gets it, as the mail there sucks. The petitioner can mail a copy of the letter they receive along with the support documents(I-134, tax transcritpts and employment/income proof) to the beneficiary in Mexico. You will need that letter for the medical and interview. The letter also points you to the forms and info you will be needing in Juarez at the CDJ website.

Forms: http://ciudadjuarez.usconsulate.gov/fianceforms.html

Detailed instructions of how it works and what you will need: http://photos.state.gov/libraries/ciudadjuarez/231771/PDFs/K1%20PACKET%20COMPLETE%20_July2011%20UPDATES_.pdf

Read through this thread that tells about what numbers you need to know from the NVC to get started filling out the DS 260 and making appointments. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/318913-call-cd-juarez-to-make-sure-they-received-our-k1-approved-file/

You should fill in your timeline. It helps people know where you are at in the process.
