Oh no I appreciate your help and advice. I know with countries like these, things can be a bit more difficult. I wonder if he can apply for a US Tourist Visa to visit while he is in the process of the K-1. Or come visit before we even start any K-1 processing. I just don't want to do anything that will get in the way when we are ready and decide to start the process. And also spending time in Morocco is another idea for us, visit his family for a bit.

Moroccan citizens, as a rule, don't get US tourist visas. The only one's I've heard of is for older people- usually the parents of Moroccans already living in the US.

but they also won't treat him like an English citizen

Now I am stumped!

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

I don't know anything at all about Morocco, sorry. I am a Canadian, who was living as a permanent resident in New Zealand, and the American Consulate in Auckland is where my interview was held. I had 4 friends from NZ who were citizens, and we all pretty much had the exact same procedure, even though they were citizens and I was not. Things may be different depending on the Visa type I guess, and I would think, as always, there may be specific country issues.

Wishing you all the best

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Thank you for the links. I'll take a look at them. smile.gif

MENA forum, for country specific questions, is here. Keep in mind your case, if interviewing in London, will be quite diferent as interviews are very country specific: http://www.visajourn...d-north-africa/

Moroccan portal is here- it will bring up all posts made by Morroccan members, useful links etc: http://www.visajourn...country=Morocco

Thank you for the best wishes smile.gif

Now I am stumped!

About what? Almost every case I've read on VJ where someone had a rough interview in London involved a beneficiary who was originally from a high fraud country. Two I specifically recall involved a beneficiary who was originally from Pakistan, and another involved a beneficiary from Nigeria. It's no secret that people in countries where it's known to be difficult to get a visa will sometimes relocate to countries where they think the consulate will go easier on them.

12/15/2009 - K1 Visa Interview - APPROVED!

12/29/2009 - Married in Oakland, CA!

08/18/2010 - AOS Interview - APPROVED!

05/01/2013 - Removal of Conditions - APPROVED!

To have been born an English Citizen you would need to be 305 years old, at least.

As suggested spend time in the Moroccan Portal and feel free to ask other people that have gone through the process ahead of you...it is an eye opener and you will be armed with plenty of info once you decide to file :star:
