Hey VJ'ers,

I am happy to report our AP has ended and I feel good about that. I am dissapointed about not getting an approval for our K1 visa application but I feel better knowing when we re-file we will have a more positive outcome during our next journey. With the help of the VJ threads, honest suggestions from VJ members and the support from the Haiti portal I know I can do this again.

I think I have a minimum of six months before I re-file for K1 Visa so I would like to spend this time enjoying life before being married to my fiance. I know it won't be hard I actually have a life outside of VJ and the visa journey. My friends miss me....and I miss them. I am looking forward to focusing more on some of my other goals. and as I continue to take care of business on the home front Mon-Fri, I really do plan on partying with my friends on the weekends.

I have a vacation coming up and this Valentines Day, my fiance and I will be together  . Can you see why this isn't so bad? When I get back from that trip some VJ'ers say I will have withdrawals ( 3rd day being the worst) lol and they say they will help me with that :star: . Again support when I need it. Thanks girl! VJ members are awsome!

AR/AP is not a fun place to be during the visa journey and recieving a denial is way better in my book then living in the dark. I see the light and it feels good B-) . I am very grateful for all the positive people in my life most importantly my fiance and both our families, I don't think I would be this strong without them.

If you're on AR/AP just know it will end eventually and when it does be ready. I am glad I was ready and now I can live free. I am PROUD to be an AMERICAN.

What a positive attitude, si man! The second time will surely be the charm. Take plenty of photos every time you're together. And, keep a positive upper lip and a stiff attitude (did I get that right?). :)

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I am so sad for you about the denial, but I am so glad you are feeling positive! that's the only attitude you can have, i guess! there is nothing a bad attitude can do for you except bring you down!

Hey Cadynhaiti, it is all good, Anything is better than AP/AR believe me when I tell you.

Good luck with your journey.

Sounds like ya'll weren't really as serious as most people are that comes to this sight. And it also sounds like you want to play a little more before she gets here. Maybe thats why you are so glad.

Thanks for ypur opinion but AP was just very stressfull and for some other people it is a very long process where you get no answers regarding your case. I am grateful and happy that it is over. If we werent serious we wuldn't be looking forward to doing all again.

Hey Mochamich, what's up Mrs.....:ot: . ... Hope the married life is treating you well. I know it is :star: .

.:ot2: It was really stressfull being on AP. I totally hated that part of the process but now I am back to being myself. The only mental rest I needed was getting off of AP. Thanks for understanding that and yes....I am enjoying being with my family physically and mentally, my friends, well I will be hanging out with them this weekend. All I can say is God is good and I am in a much better place.
