Hey guys I've been checking this site out for a while now, ever since i started the whole k1 fiance visa. I think its a great site for faq's and support system. You would think you are are the only one going through this when in reality there's so many of us wanting to be with our loved one. I really wish this process would speed up !! I hate the waiting :( & on top of that when you get to the interview you never know what can happen. Gahhhh !

How are you guys making time go by faster ?

I never wish time to go by faster, time (and life) move along fast enough without any encouragement or pleading from me. I cannot change the past, I do not know the future, the time I have now is a gift, that is why it is called the present. I try to live in the present, the here and now. Though the glacial pace of processing at these USCIS can be quite frustrating; for me, patience is the key to a successful journey. For my partner and I, we pray that the end of this visa journey will be the beginning of our lives together. We look forward to the time when we can recall this journey as a another memory woven into the fabric of our relationship.

Good luck.

Lol.. "If all that doesn't work" I would be buying a flight every month  But you are right.. Just think about it like a small time sacrificed in order to be together hopefully for ever. Talk everyday, surprise your partner with little sweet things that makes him feel special even though you are so far away. Missing someone is the worst!!!! we can all agree but at least we are 3-4 hours away from them DR is so close compared to other people in long distance relationships...so buy that ticket if you can and you are both feeling like the wait is too much.

i knoww i was in dr from Feb-April and then went again in Sept for only 2 weeks..im like so tempted to buy a ticket and go now. Everyone tells me to wait because it will be soon again where I will have to go for the interview, so there is no point of going twice. :(

I was feeling same as you, driving myself crazy, looking at timelines and USCIS website all the time. Let me make a suggestion. Start working on obtaining the documents you will need to send in to the consulate. I did not think it would take me so long to put the package together but obtaining documentation was difficult and you want to make your flie as easy to read and complete as possible. To help time pass, I would suggest getting your hands on the lists of all the documents you will need all the forms that need to be filled out, start having your fiance game plan when and how they will obtain the documents from their country they will need. This can also take awhile. You don't want to get your approval at USCIS then slow things down putting your packet together then. Start working on it now, and honestly, this helped me relax, looking at our pictures, reading past e-mails to each other etc.

Other than that, just focus on your relationship, keep building it, making it stronger and enjoy just spending time together however you do for right now!

Best luck to you
