hello, vj,s, Just received notice today, that our NOA2 has been approved. My question is this, my filipina had worked in Saudi, for about 9 months or so.The boss was very demanding, worked 18 hour days, did not get paid regularly, and beat the other maid frequently. Mt girl ran away, while visiting Kuwait, with the boss and the children. She stayed in the Philippine embassy in Kuwait until her papers could be sorted and a flight back to the Phils. (6 months). Is this going to be a problem at the interview? Should she tell the truth or try to hide it.I know this happens a lot with domestic helpers, overseas, i have read stories. any advice. Thanks

Without looking anything up, I think she is supposed to get a police clearance from the countries she has worked in. Her old boss probably charged her with something. Not usually a good idea to try to hide stuff. I imagine it's all stamped in her passport.

Misrepresentation would be grounds for denial, and a possible life-time ban.

I would suggest you commit some time to VJ,

I learn something every 5-10 minutes on this site. It is truly amazing.

If you and your fiancee are sincere, the process will work out for you.

Good luck, to you and yours

no clearance needed for saudi arabia.the girl ran away because she was being abused.no stealing, nothing. The boss would not let them leave the house.

I wasn't suggesting that your GF stole anything. Im suggesting that the man that would treat her like that might feel the need to falsely accuse her of something

to save face. Also it is standard procedure for the Filipinas to get an NBI clearance in the Philippines and give that to the embassy. Also if they have worked

in a foreign country like tawain or Japan I believe it is standard procedure for them to get a Police clearance from the country they worked in.

TRUE... if one had lived more than six months a foreign country, one must obtain a police certificate, in your case is Saudi Arabia. She can ask the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Manila for the process.
