If you have crossed the 5 MONTH mark, please reach out to your congressman and US Senator to ask them to contact USCIS on your behalf. I submitted a form that my Senator had available on his site to grant his office to contact USCIS for my i130. I will keep this group posted on what happens next. This is ridiculous. I'm at 5 months and one day since my NOA1.

Did this two weeks ago - congressman wrote back to me saying he wrote to USCIS and will get back to me once they reply to him.

*By the way, my congressman not only was able to call me back the day after I e-mailed him, but he wrote me an actual letter in less than a couple days. If only every branch of the government was this quick!

5 months is a Myth. It is 6 months and then a Service Request can be asked for. 5 months is only a USCIS target goal. Not a promise. If a RFE is requested then you are in Limbo.

Just facts.......

These politicians you are thinking will provide some assistance are the same people that havent done anything to reform the immigration laws which are about 60 years old.

There is a reason they all have staff trained to placate the citizens. Your staff member will inform you that USCIS is working on your case just as they are on the other 2.5 million.

Please ask the staff member to have the actual elected politician to call you. Then let us know how that went.

Less than two weeks ago, I contacted our congressman after a year of waiting for a NOA2. I don't know if it will help, but I'm basically out of options/ideas. Our lawyer hasn't been able to get anything out of USCIS either.
