NVC received my package from the USCIS on 9 Jan. I called/emailed and requested my case to be expedited due to military deployment on the 18th. I got an email on the 19th saying it was being considered. Today I called the NVC, the lady told me the embassy approved my request. All of my documents has been forwarded to my embassy.

Uhmmm, this means the NVC is no longer part of the picture? I will work with the embassy from this point forward? Anyone else had this happen? What happens next? Who will contact me (NVC or embassy)?

Whats happening now? What time frame and I looking at?

Thanks for your help....

Once NVC has sent the info to the embassy, you will contact the embassy directly for any further info. NVC will not be able to provide anything further. I recently had an expedite also and this was my experience. Typically it takes 1 week for them to ship to the embassy and then its up to the embassy to determine how fast they will process the case. I would suggest 2 things: First, get the date from NVC as to when they shipped the case. Second: Call the embassy to inquire as to how they will process the expedited case.

This is exactly what I did.

Our reason for the expedited process simple ... Our children need for school. We received a NOA 2 in May. But USCIS did not send our petition to NVC ... We waited for more than 3 months .. We have filed a petition for accelerated NVC because of the children, they are late to school. We attach a letter from the school of Belarus, the children left from the school here .. and schedule the start of classes in schools in the U.S. ... We have been approved. We waited 2 or 3 weeks ...
