I bought a bunch of paper towels about 10 days ago, 3 multi roll packs. Yesterday I noticed one whole pack was used/gone. My suspicion was that a grown son (24) had visited and

decided I had a lot more paper towels than I needed. Later while we were out I aske Judy if she was using a lot of paper towels, she said not realy, then we got into a discussion of

how many rolls were in each package. I said I thought 12 and she thought 6. After a couple minutes she said "are you asking me about paper towels".

I said "No, Im asking you about porcupines"

She asked "What are porcupines"

I said " Yes! Im talking about paper towels, that's why I used the word PAPER TOWELS"!!

She was a little embarrassed.

This morning, I apologized for losing my patience. Usually I'm pretty good cause I've learned a little spanish, so I appreciate that it is not easy. And no Im not really trying to learn tagalog.

Judy has trouble with the word sheet

even when I try to get her to separate sylable sounds, I just get sh...eeeeeeeeeee it

she dosnt seem to be able to make the t sound without throwing that I sound in front of it.

For a while after she arrived Anna seemed to lump Paper Towels, Napkins in the "Similar Enough" to exchange category and sometimes in discussions (making shopping lists etc) Toilet Paper could get confused and included into that group.

It seems we have way too many "Paper Products" here in the US.

come on - surely you have the plastic holder for toilet paper, filled with toilet paper, sitting on yer kitchen table? [this is very common, btw]

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

..... so where did the paper towels go? Son relocate some or...???? Don't keep us in suspense!

He won't admit it if he did. I know he snagged some toilet paper before. He's the only real suspect.

The question is, could we have used that many paper towels that quick?

Which brings us to the other burning question. How many paper towels were used?

The writing on the package says 8 xtra lg rolls = 12 and the 12 is two sizes bigger than the 8

so just passing by I thought there were 12.

I've got 2 half rolls left so Im thinking 3 or 4 rolls got snagged

I watched the movie "the Help" now I'm going to start numbering the toilet paper and paper towel rolls.

Ah... the numbers game by the manufacture!

Just checked my package of paper towels; 12 rolls = 16 There is actually 12, so you probably had an 8 = 12 package. Dumb games they play, guess they got tired of "more absorbant" advertising.

Judy called her father in Cadiz today cause it was his birthday. Judy was telling me that he was celibrating his birthday by making pancit. then she said " before he did not" . and then she started stumbling

all over the place trying to decide how to say what she meant, Im taking guesses without sucess and finally I just let my head fall to the side and made snoring sounds so she laughed and quit trying.

Since it was early morning there, I think maybe he had bought the pancit but had not yet cooked it. Or this is the first time he's ever had pancit for his birthday.

Ive been reading books with her. We were reading a series called "The babysitters club" She did ok with that but then I found the "Babysitters little sister" series by the same author and she can pretty much

read that without me supervising so I got like 20 of them from ebay for $10

Great Idea!!!! I will do the same. When I met my future asawa to be almost 2 years ago she knew only a couple words. Alot of training, patience and examples and we have come along way. It is always a challange but I enjoy it. Makes me laugh as well and its something that brings us that much more together.
