Proof of Meeting

Hi Vj's. This question is about proof of meeting. Let me explain a little about my situation. I am currently in Ghana working as a volunteer at a college of education. By the time I leave the country I would have been here for 11 months. The stamp on my passport showing that I entered the country is very faint, all you can make out is the date and not the country or the name of the airport.I do not have my original boarding passes. I came to Ghana as a volunteer and had no intentions of meeting anyone; therefore I didn't think that I would need to keep my boarding passes. I do however have my itinerary, print out of my frequent flyer miles, receipt showing from purchasing the tickets (which were paid for by my job), the acceptance letter from my current job stating that I will be working in Ghana, my residence permit and visa, and I plan to get statement on official letter head from the principal at my school and my job stating that I was a volunteer and the dates that I worked. In addition pictures, will this will be sufficient documentation to prove that we have met in the past two years? I would really appreciate some insight! Thanks

I think that would be sufficient, you will also have your return boarding passes wouldnt you?

It is always good to get the correct advice from Vjers who have first hand experience of your country involved. The immigration process at each US embassy can differ especially in high fraud countries.I am not sure if African countries are considered this. It may be a good idea to post in the africa regional discussions forum.

Good luck!!

My ghana stamps are faint as well. I still sent them in. But save your return boarding pass. You have plenty of other evidence to show you were in Ghana...

I had mostly pictures. You don't need to worry too much for the petition, its more of the embassy stage where he will go that you need the on-going stuff. Pictures, when you return: phone records, emails, cards you sent, any future trips.

Good luck!

I sent in my itinerary, my frequent flier statement and return trip boarding passes. At the time I filed the K1 I had sent my passport to be renewed so I did not have passport stamps. I also did not send any pictures.

I think what you have is a lot of proof.

Good luck!!
