Romney loses Iowa

Turns out Romney LOST in Iowa by 34 votes rather than winning by 8 votes. A 400%+ greater margin of loss.

Now he is "Nosediving" in South Carolina with Gingrich closing fast. The fact he hides his money offshore to avoid taxes doesn't play well in SC. It is probably acceptable among Democrats. If he does not get the nomination maybe he can be Secretary of the Treasury for Obama.

Gingrich started off the debate tonight by creaming the CNN moderator to multiple standing ovations, I think Gingrich just won SC.

The Repubs won't have a chance if Gingrich gets the nomination. Their only chance is if Romney wins, otherwise their toast.

Why is that? I think Gingrich's biggest hurdle would be getting through the conservatives. Nobody else cares about divorce and cheating, and if Gingrich gets the nomination its not like they're going to vote for Obama. Or is there something else about him that is less appealing to independents than Romney? The only candidate I can see Republicans voting against is Ron Paul.

As a Republican, I would, and still will, vote for anybody that gets the nomination other than Newt Gingrich. Reason being, I think he's a sociopath. And I don't mean that in a figurative sense. I mean clinically. If Gingrich gets the nomination, I will vote for Obama.

Either SC will for the first time produce a primary winner that won't eventually get the nomination or Rasmussen has it wrong.

The Newt is now ahead in the Rasmussen poll in SC with 33% vs. Romney's 31%. The Newt may actually take SC tomorrow. And perhaps the nomination.

Best part of that debate was when they skipped Ron Paul on the question about abortion. The freakin' OB/GYN and they didn't even give him a chance to answer.

The crowd was in an uproar until the moderator conceded and gave the congressman a little time to answer. When Santorum questioned his record on abortion saying he only had a 50% rating from the group that monitors that stuff he had an awesome answer, after talking about the decline of morals in our society he said (paraphrasing) "I believe abortion is an act of violence and states retain the rights to punish every other violent offense, murder, rape, robbery... why not abortion? If we return abortion to the states Roe v. Wade disappears overnight." Done.

Santorum and Paul will drop out soon and those votes go to Gingrich. Romney is now ahead :Puvly 10 points in national polling, a virtual tie if you transfer Santorums and Paul's votes to Gingrich. Romney is collapsing.

Personally I do not care. The remaining Republicans are so slimy I have no interest in them. The problem with electing one is that there would then be a good chance to have him 8 years and who wants 8 year sof either of these turds?

Better to re-elect Obama, keep control of the House, maybe pick up the Senate and block the guy from doing anything for four years and try to get someone good in there next time. I won't vote for any of this bunch. The Supreme Court will likely negate Obamacare before it becomes an election issue anyway
