I started calling today.

Received APPROVAL on December 30, 2011.,.. NOA2.

Called NVC.

Entered Receipt Number.

"We have no record of the case number you entered on file at this time".

Okay.

Called the 800-375-5283 for Vermont, where my petition was approved.

Nice lady, jus trying to do her job, answers.

Q: "Can you tell me if and when your office sent my case to the NVC?"

A: "No! We have 90 days in which to respond (send the case to NVC)."

Q: "Well... I'm not trying to be difficult (other words) but, it would seem a simple matter, just to be able to say YES or NO."

A: "We cannot provide that information, sir. You can make an appointment with your local immigration office, and go discuss it with them. OR,... call back after 90 days, if you have not yet heard anything."

"Okay, thank you very much, Ma'am."

so... amongst all the other stories I've read about or heard here on VJ, ... I'm guessing the best course of action is just to keep calling the NVC and entering your receipt number, every day or so.

secondly, ... go ahead and make an appointment with local immigration office (the squeaky wheel gets the grease??)

thirdly,.... actually ask to talk to live person at NVC?

4thly,.... Wait the 90 days.

I think I asked this on another thread a day or so ago, and didn't get much response:

.... Will they text message and email you? when they send the case to NVC??? yes, or no?

If you have a K-1 Visa and you are entering the number in the NVC automated response problem, that is your problem. That will not work for a K-1. You have to talk to a live person for the K Visa.

Is there anyway to see if your Embassy received the K1 package? I contacted HCMC via email about a week ago and still no response. I realize it is the VN New Year being celebrated soon and everyone is off work, but I am not sure how to track my case #.

Can ya get on a PC sometime soonish, and click some links or three? Please?
