I came home from golf yesterday to find a wonderful email with my Packet 4 instructions and interview date. As I mailed it in on December 20 I wasn't expecting an interview date until sometime in March, but instead we have one in January. I'm thinking this can only be a positive. Anyone out there that can tell me if it's a negative ?

Also Packet 4 looks almost the same as Packet 3 except no Ds-2001, no police clearance instructions and more detail for the medical exam. So if I (I did) sent all the required docs in Packet 3 all she needs to bring to the embassy is her medical docs, a copy of the appointment letter and recent proof of relationship ?

I dont know how the golf game went but this news is nothing but positive.

Sometimes people cancel thier interviews which allows people like you to get lucky. I have only seen this in two other cases so its rare.

If the P 3 wasnt complete they wouldnt have set the date for the interview. She will need her passport unless it was sent. If so her Thai I D to get in.

My golf game game is about the only thing that's more stressful than this VISA process :)

I hate to keep pounding on the same question, but I thought they will want to see more recent proof of ongoing relationship as detailed in Packet 3:

Original documents below must be presented at interview. No need to mail them to us at this

stage.

 EVIDENCE OF RELATIONSHIP: In order to process your case, the officer must be

convinced of your relationship with the petitioner. You must bring with you at the time of

interview sufficient evidence that you have a legitimate relationship with the person who has

petitioned for you, such as photographs, letters, detailed phone records from telephone

companies (phone cards not acceptable), e-mails, old household registries and/or any other

evidence that demonstrates your relationship with the petitioner over time. Failure to bring

these items will delay your case. If the Consular Officer is not convinced of your relationship

with the petitioner, he/she may require you to submit further evidence. Your fiancé (e)/spouse

is not permitted to be present at the interview.

Thanks
