I am from there, but I left decades ago. There is a fairly large Filipino community somewhere down there.

Pinoys in US to gather Jan. 28 for Historic Filipinotown celebration

Filipinos in Los Angeles, California in the United States will gather later this month to celebrate the Historic Filipinotown, which was named one of the Preserve America communities in December.

According to the Asian Journal, the event, “Preserving Historic Filipinotown: A Community Celebration,” will see the presentation of the certificate recognizing the area’s importance through Preserve America, a federal initiative that encourages community efforts to preserve cultural and natural heritage.

The celebration will be held on January 28, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Unidad Park, 1644 Beverly Boulevard in Los Angeles, and will include music, food trucks, and community tables from various Historic Filipinotown organizations, the report said.

We are in Orange county. Take a look at Cerritos, there is a large Fiilipino population there and many stores catering to Filipino tastes and styles. On Girdley across from the mall there is a Goldilocks and at Pioneer and Artesia there is a Jollibee. There is also a big grocery story in the same area as the Jollibee.

There is also a Filipino area in West Covenia off Azusa and Amar.

Yea, just fat fingered it.

We are ok, been struggling with health issues. Claudeth still doesn't have a job Her family didn't get hit with all the flooding in CDO but they did go without water and electricity for several weeks
