I am sure this sounds like a strange thing to be worried about and something that does not happen very often but I am concerned my I-130 was approved too quickly (I never asked for expedited service either). My NOA 1 receipt date was Jan 3rd, 2012 and I was approved on Jan 17th (14 days) when the CSC processing time is about 5 months vs. my 14 days. I figured something had to be wrong and went on-line to check my status and it said I was approved. I then called the California Service center and spoke to a customer service reps to confirm this. He confirmed it had been approved, details on the file matched my case and that it had been sent to the NVC for processing. They said they had never seen this happen so quickly before.

What worries me now is that downstream at the NVC or at the consulate a couple of month later they will later find out they did not process it correctly and send it back to the beginning. Should I be worried and try to ask more question or just thank god for looking after me?

Hey! I really don't think you need to worry about anything! My i-130 was approved in 19 days from NOA1 date. i had my interview for IR-1 visa two days ago and got approved!:)Believe me, when i-130 was approved so fast, I was also confused, but everything worked out great in the end! So don't worry - I'm sure everything will be fine! Good luck!

I know what you mean about things going too fast. We have been holding off on paying our IV fees...just got the bill on the 13th, and I went on and checked and I can now access them and make a payment, but we don't want to end up having our stuff sent to the Montreal consulate too quickly and end up having to go for an interview before maybe April.

Should probably go on and pay them today just in case, because I guess if we needed to reschedule our interview that could be done if it comes up too quick. I don't look forward to going to MTL in the middle of Winter

Wow! This is super fast. You are very lucky. I have been waiting for 4 months since my NOA1.

I am in a very similar situation..

I mailed out my I-130 package on March 24th, sent from London to the Chicago Lockbox. I received a letter in the post that said it was received on April 3rd.

On April 6th I received an email with the subject 'USCIS Acceptance Confirmation' and yesterday (April 17th) I received an I-797 paper letter in the post that seems to say it was approved. When I log in to 'My Case Status' it says the petition has been approved.

Is it really possible that our petition was approved in 3 days?!

I've been using a different forum specific to the UK and everyone over there is making me nervous! Sorry if it is bad etiquette to post a different board here, but this was my post: http://britishexpats.com/forum/showthread.php?p=10010886#post10010886

So.. I just wanted to clarify: were the petitions that are being approved so quickly sent from foreign country (that both partners have lived in for 6 months) to Chicago? Or were they sent to the foreign field office?

Thanks for your help!
