I just noticed that on form DS-230 we had checked to have a social security card issued for my fiancee once she arrived in the USA. She arrived back in September and we still have never received anything about it. I saw online it said to call SSN if card is not received within 3 weeks after entry to USA. The person I talked to says say there is nothing they can do without the number. What are my options and how can I get this rectified? Has anyone else had this problem and can help me out. thanks

you have to go to the SS office to get an SSN as they will not send one to a K-1 visa holder no matter whether you ticked the box on the form or not

You need to go in to the social security office with all your documents and they can process the card production there. This has happened to a lot of people where they've requested it on the DS-230 and the request was never processed.
