HI everyone,

I'm currently waiting on AOS from a K1 visa. I filed in September 2011 and it has now been over 4 months. I called uscis today to put in a service request because i was working on the assumption that 4 months was the normal processing time. This is what i was told..

1. my case is being processing in Jacksonville Florida

2. This field office is now processing applications filed in June 2011

This seems strange to me because I received a notice in October saying that my application was transferred to the California Service Center and have not heard anything about my application since then. So was it transferred back to Florida?? or did it never leave??

Also if the Jacksonville office is processing application from June 2011 this is over 7 months wait time!!! that seems really bad.

Anyone have any advice/suggestions???

Thanks

I don't think there is much to do but wait. The 3-4 months wait time seems very optimistic to me. And your interview, if you have one, will be done locally so it depends how backlogged they are in your area.

My AOS appointment is scheduled for February 9th and I applied for AOS last July. I'm right on the 7 months time frame from application to interview. See my signature for my timeline.

Be patient and good luck!

You could always call again and tell them to put in a service request. You might get someone nicer or more cooperative on the line.
