Hi guys,

I have been with my boyfriend for 2 years now and we are wanting to go ahead and live together properly! I am a UK citizen and I was in a relationship 4-5 years ago with a US citizen. We applied for a k-1 visa but we broke up during the processing stage which was in 2008 (4 years ago ) so naturally it didn't go any further than processing. I was wondering if the fact that I filed for a K-1 visa 4 years ago would effect me applying for one now? Any advise or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Nope, you're even past the 2 year waiver period. Should not be an issue at all.

Thank you ever so much, I recently had a trip to the states and they brought it up and asked me about it which was why I was a little worried because I didn't think with it happening so long ago that it was relevant anymore. Thank you again!
