You must do them prior to your medical and bring proof of immunizations to your medical exam. Best to start them as soon as possible because if you need vaccinations like MMR or varicella it is two doses spaced 1 month apart. Slowed down the process for me because I had to do two rounds of varicella!

Yep. And you can ask your doc now to do blood tests to see if you need any shots/boosters. (Yay what I get to do this morning....vampires!)

Is there a form to have the nurse fill out for vaccinations prior to the medical or do you just bring your proof of vaccinations to the medical and the doctor fills out the proper form? Thanks

As far as I know, just bring your proof of vaccines.

The above is correct. Just bring proof of all required vaccinations. They will give you a piece of paper back which you will need for your AOS.

I see the Woking medical is now closed ? is there another site in Vancouver?

Also, I am here as a permanent resident. This whole vaccination thing is starting to scare me. I know I have had the vaccinations (from the UK) and I have had chicken pox. But evidence is going to be a pain to obtain. I also actually work in a hospital.

So would the medical interview, assume because I am from the UK and have gone through to PR process for Canada previously I had my vaccinations?

2. can you get the vaccine records from the UK? if it's going to be a PITA to obtain, you can get bloodwork done to see what your immunity is (I went this route).

3. call them and ask.

Actually I answered my own question, spoke to the medical team here just now, and yes I can get tests done here. Will speak to a doctor later and get the blood test and the tdap is good to go as well.

So its MMR, Varicella and TDAP ? I just looked at that link, do I have to get tested for all those ? :oO

the blood test will see if you have the antibodies/need a booster. don't worry, the vampires won't suck too much blood.
